Forums - Nintendo - Bayo 2 dev update: 3.5 times as many hit animations per character than Bayo 1

The game is looking better by the day.

Just don't think the improvements are due to the power of the WiiU. It has more to do with Nintendo backing the project.

and people were saying they cut off her hair because Wii U couldn't handle it... lol.

Nobody seriously thought that, it was just trolls being trolls.

Yeah, this joke was meant to be a troll-thing, but some people took it seriously and began to discuss it. =o

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

There's a lot that goes into graphics. There's processing speed, colors displayed at once, polygon or pixel count, and effects that get added each generation to help offset the law of diminishing returns, like new lighting, shading, and particle effects.

Wii was 2x as powerful as the Gamecube, and a few games for it had enough polygons to match a 360 game, like Prime 3 (the Samus model had 18k polygons, which is higher than what a lot of early hd games were doing), but they lacked the shaders of the hd games that largely defined the difference between the generations.
