ummm...nevermind. Most of those movies that were on HD-DVD exclusive will be available on Blu-ray in the coming months.

 Yea...6 free + 12-20 dollar movies vs. a 25-35 dollar version.

Currently loving my Wii x2, Xbox 360 Pro & Xbox 360 Arcade, and Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children Limited "Cloud Black" 160GB PS3

Also, wasted space in my entertainment center, plus having to re-buy those movies when Microsoft comes out with a blu-ray add-on.  Plus wasted money on six rather crappy movies.

If it get to be  25$ I will get it, i'de be nice to play dvd's on my 360 without having to worry about increased RROD by it overheating.(it's why I don't play dvd's on mine.)

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.

50 bucks not bad with 6 movies. It's cheaper than a lot of DVD drives for PC plus you get movies. As long as it works, it doesn't matter if no new movies come out because there's still the 6 free ones that comes with it, and a remote. :)

BTW, is it a universal remote that works with windows media center? Not that I need one since I have one that came with my laptop already but just curious.

Yeah ... here it is ...

And you can get a VGA cable for your 360 cheap. However, I don't really notice a difference between 1080i over component and the VGA cable.

The movies are real movies - why rebuy them on Blu if you own them on HD DVD? Do any of you still have VHS movies? Laser discs? UMDs? They are still usable and these will still be working after the format croaks. Seriously, this is one killer deal, especially with Best Buy still selling the HD DVDs at full price. 6 HD DVDs for $50 and a free player rocks ...

Just pick it up before Feb. 28th to take advantage of this deal.

I wouldn't mostly because I purchased a Samsung Dual format player not long ago on heavy sale. There was no clear winner at the time so I figure, "75$ over a blu-ray player for the security?" and bought it.

A dual-format player is the best, but sheez - who can afford one?

Why would you have to rebuy them?

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

$50 w/all those free movies is a great deal. It's like the movies pay for the player already. I'd so pick one up if I was back in the US. They never had the free movie deal here in Japan for it (not even King Kong being included!), which is why I never picked one up.

starcraft: "I and every PS3 fanboy alive are waiting for Versus more than FFXIII.
Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."

Skeeuk: "playstation 3 is the ultimate in gaming acceleration"

as big as a 360 whore as Iam! And Iam. Iam still not getting it I have 10 bluray movies but no hd dvd. Couldnt bring myself to pull the trigger.

still I dont want to put wear and tear on a 360 watching movies Ill stick to upconvert dvd cheaper then bluray and hd dvd!

It can also be used with the PC. Not bad for an external DVD-ROM that also plays HD-DVDs. I'm still debating on whether to pick one up or not. You can also use it to make backups of your movies if you're worried about your player no longer working in the future.
