Really Chaos, don't bother. Nobody ever won an argument with a wall.

People can call him overrated, or a jackass, say he's full of himself, or whatever.....but it doesn't change the fact. And fact is, he's a great developer who's played a key role in making some very successful games.

You guys really have a problem distinguishing an argument from an opinion.

The reason he cant win is because there is nothing TO win,  i shared my opinion,  he has issues with said opinion,  end of story.

Yes, arguments tend to arise out of differing opinions......genius

Thing is I'm not using my opinion to justify Cliffy B's success.

According to you Cliffy B isn't successfull because you don't like his games. Why would Cliffy care if you don't like his games? Doesn't make him any less successfull.

On the other hand, I'm arguing Cliffy is successfull based on sales, critical receptions, profits, legacy, his franchises he helped develop.

Is a business successfull based on opinions or profit??

I dont even count that one as a gears game.

Which only shows how important Cliffy B is.

I feel terrible for your expectations for the next Gears game then. The second man in charge of the trilogy is in charge of the next game.

Well the second man Rod Ferguson is a great guy who lead the multiplayer design. Also, GOW has a great foundation that doesn't need major changes.

Arguments arise from the inability to accept or deal with an opinion. what we have here is simply an opinion followed by a debate where he shares his own opinion on the matter and feels because he believe his opinion is the more universally held one that my opinion is lesser.

thus far its been pretty much civil forum banter,  so long as you keep things in perspective and avoid getting a temper.

besides,  according to you i'm a wall,  so it cant be an argument,  thanks!

according to me?  please do post where i suggested in any way that cliffy b is not successful.

I simply do not like Gears of war, unreal tournament i own all of on steam, and the original pc games which i bought on release day for all three, same for unreal championship on the original xbox. I actually still have a press-only disk pressing of unreal XMP, too.

Liking the games a person has a hand in making, and holding an opinion of said person are two different things, I own, enjoy and play a PS4 despite thinking Sony is the shittest japanese electronics company still in operation.

and all 4 of his fans cheered at once.

A successfull person doesn't have only 4 fans.

Well, Cliffy B's new game is supposed to be similar to the Unreal Tournament games, so I am kinda excited!

Had nothing to do with Cliffy being gone. It had everything to do with the original team not being around. Epic had to get someone to make the game since Microsofts no talent selves couldn't make a game for themselves and they make comissioned People Can Fly to make that crap.

Wrong again. Epic worked on the multiplayer part of the game. People can fly worked on the SP. Regarldless Cliffy B wasn't involved in the multiplayer and it sucked so proves how vital he is to the team.

You do realize that most people were complaining about the SP right? The multiplayer was ok. People continued to play the multiplayer even though the single player sucked.

Source?

The single player was really good. It was the lackluster MP with only 4 maps. Go into the forums and see for youself.

Also, the populations numbers for GOWJ are a lot lower than GOW3

Microsoft took some members of the Gears team including Rod Fergusson whom was the main producer on the Gears franchise and brought them over to Black Tusk studios. Fergusson was not involved in the development of Judgement and will be involved in the development of the next Gears. Microsoft is going all out on this even scooping up former Sony Santamonica and Irrational Games workers who were laid off. Since Microsoft acquired Fergussons services in January he's stated that they will be taking liberties with the story to have it make sense for the next game. The last time they gave us info on Gears they stated its still not even past the conceptual phase yet.

This explains nothing. GOWJ was a prequel that had very little to do with the GOW trilogy story wise.

All he said was he was going to modify the story of GOW to make sure it works for GOW4.
