Having three AAA games in Forza, Halo and SO isn't lacking.

The Wii U has Smash, Toad and Bayonetta 2 and its considered a good lineup

The X1 really is not lacking exclusive content this holiday. It has two huge exclusives and one that is likely to be huge just as its headliners.

You can reasonably argue they are not for you, or that you don't think they'll sell well. But that doesn't mean the X1's exclusive content isn't very fleshed out for its second holiday!

Two huge exclusives?   MCC and ??

It's just funny reading some of you guys bicker like kids.. Asking for specifics and attacking technicalities.. "No its not.. Yes it is.. Nah ah.. Uh huh.." Lol.. The route this thread took. My opinion on the matter is this.. Both x1 and ps4 have exclusives that will cater to their gamerbase or try to attract new consumers. When you actually take a step back and look and the number of real exclusives.. Both are basically equal. Which lineup is best though is purely subjective.. Of course x1 owners will say their lineup is the best, just like the ps4 owners will say the same thing about their lineup.
As for the MCC vs TLOU debate, MCC is great value, but seriously.. Everyone that does want it basically wants it for halo 2 mp. who is really going to dive back in on a 10+ year old game (halo2) when many shooters have already evolved beyond those of OG Xbox days? Especially in the mp dept. Nostalgia effect? Definitely Yes.. Actual community and longevity? Well.. Its going to be rather small/short lived because of the cod/bf/destiny communities that will be prevalent.... When halo CE anniversary came out for the 360.. How long did the community on that last with cod/bf taking the majority of fps gamers? Also, how divided will the community be because each game has their own mp? As for TLOU.. Great game for those who didn't purchase it last gen.. But actual ps4 sw sales will not do what the ps3 version achieved. Its an HD port of a 1 year old game... Majority of ps4 owners would already of played it last gen and there's really no incentive to dive back into the HD version for $50. There will be those double dippers, but im expecting those numbers to be small. this remaster is really made for gamers who didn't play the game or purchase a ps3 last gen.
Both are good in their own respect but you guys are letting way too much f**boyism show in your comments.

Man.. I hate it when your girl has to leave my place to come back to you..

Can't say I agree that MS have a much stronger lineup this holiday. I wonder if we will see similar articles early next year when PS4 has The Order and Bloodborne and X1 has nothing

Not a huge difference in thier line ups this year

Xbox One

  AAA Games          Non AAA Games
Forza 2 Horizon* Ori and the Blind Forest*
Halo MCC Fantasia Music Evolved*
Sunset Overdrive Dance Central Spotlight
Project Spark*

*Also on X360 or PC

Playstation 4

AAA Games Other Games
LBP 3* Singstar*
Driveclub The Witness*
TLOU remastered
Planitside 2*

*Also on PS3 or PC

I think the big difference in thier line up is that the PS4 has less big titles that are new, or can only be experienced on the PS4. Just from that list there, Driveclub is really the only big thing comming out that can't be played anywhere else.  TLOU and LBP 3 can be played on PS3, and games like Planitside 2, singstar, and the witness can be played on PC.

For X1, Sunset overdrive, Halo MCC, and Dance central spotlight are XB1 only (and before you argue over Halo MCC, remember that H1 & H2 MP is not playable anywhere else, and there is also aditional story stuff for Halo 5 being worked into the remastered Halo 2 Campaign, so it's more than just a port with better graphics).  Also, while FH2 will be on 360, weather and Drivatars are only going to be on the X1 version, so the X360 verson will likely feel more like FH1.5.

So in a sense, the X1 lineup is stronger than the PS4s.

BOLDED:  Next year X1 has Quantum Break, Halo 5, Forza 5, and Fable leagends.

The line between lacking content and being "very fleshed out" must be incredibly small if you only need to add a collection to upgrade to the latter

Personally:

Holiday: X1 > PS4 (X1 slightly less crap than the PS4's).
Overall year: PS4 > X1 (PS4's slightly less crap than the X1's).

Edit: I should add that my opinion of their holiday line ups is within context of the year overall. If they'd both had plenty of proper exclusive releases during the year (or at the very least titles confined to their respective system brand, since cross gen is all the rage) then i'd think both's were decent in themselves. When, however, the holiday line up accounts for every single X1 exclusive released in 2014 that's not on either PC or timed, i consider it disappointing.

The PS4's holiday is even more disappointing, but countered in part by other releases during the year (though not many).

Personally i believe having nothing but 2 new titles and a collection after such a barren year is lacking. Did the X1 have a single proper exclusive title this year, prior to the holidays? I think all of it was either on PC or timed. The PS4's holiday is even more lacking with just 2 new titles, but it's somewhat redeemed by having at least a couple of titles through the year.

Overall both have been somewhat mediocre

I said "So did the WiiU last year". 2013, not 2014.

There are great games coming to the PS4, just not a lot of exclusives. Hopefully, 2015 will be a bit different. Xbone and Wii U would be wise to take advantage of the PS exclusive drought, and it looks like they are.

So they're re-releasing Forza 5 next year?

Yeah, well at least ....I meant to say six.  Turn 10 releases thier games every 2 years.

Forza  (2005)

Forza 2  (2007)

Forza 3  (2009)

Forza 4  (2011)

Forza 5  (2013)

Forza 6 will probabally just be Forza 5 + Weather & a ton of new tracks, cars, and features.  One downside to releasing every 2 years is that the games don't really change that much....

that's a very unimpressing list. especially when most of it are from yearly releases.
