I'm setting it up at the moment. I like the gamepad so far, it's refreshing. But the update time is fucking TERRIBLE! This is the second update i'm sitting through T.T

So I got the Skylander's bundle for a deal. Anyone actually tried Skylanders? Because I have zero interest and i'm thinking of throwing in the bin.

Congrats. Yeah, the first update was quite long on launch day, I imagine its way longer now. Trade in Skylanders and put the money towards a game you want. I would recommend Tropical Freeze, Mario Kart 8, Super Mario 3D World, ZombiU or Pikmin 3. Rayman Legends also unless youve played it on another console.

Yeah, the update time is pretty terrible.

Did you get Mario Kart 8 yet? I'd say that's a must buy for the system.

Anyways, hope you enjoy your WiiU! That first update is slow for sure, but with the help of updates and the quick start menu I haven't had much problem with slowness since.

Because for some reason it was cheaper than buying the console without it.

Don't throw Skylanders away. Do what I did and sell the figurines on eBay. You'll get most, if not all, of your money back that way. Apparently the squid one is rare or something?
