Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai Remix announced for western and Asian territories
Nendoroid-style Hatsune Miku coming west after all.

Sega announced Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai Remix (working title) for 3DS during its fifth anniversary talk show event this morning.

Due out in North America, Europe, and Asia in 2015, the game is an enhanced version of Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2, which launched in Japan last November. It marks the first release of the Project Mirai series outside of Japan, as well as its first appearance on a Nintendo platform outside the country.

The game features characters rendered in stereoscopic 3D, button and touch rhythm game modes, and three difficulties per song.

Players will be able to customize button icons and sounds, character costumes, and gear for character rooms, as well as create and share personalized player cards, dance routines, musical phrases, and personalized comments about in-game videos via StreetPass.

Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai Remix will also make use of the Nintendo handheld’s AR card and photo capabilities.

.......I think that franchise should stay in Japan tbh.

Mirai or Miku in general?

Because both are expanding outwards. Miku has quite a strong niche following in the west. The recent Project DIVA F sold so well that we are now getting this and Project DIVA F 2 (physical for Vita and PS3)

Really? Well I stand corrected then.

Interesting...I've never really played a game like this and I don't know if I will, but I'll keep my eyes open.

Looks like SEGA has tested the waters with Diva F, and turned out the virtual diva has also a dedicated fanbase in the west.. As said above, the more localizations the better.

Nice, I hope it makes decent numbers. We need more japanese games on the 3DS (Nintendo and Level 5, release Youkai Watch in the west already).

You know it deserves the GOTY.
