Portables usually sell better for them, doesn't mean they need to just stick to handheld because it wouldn't happen and it wouldn't be profitable. They need to make a hybrid console that makes a console people would love and it would mean more games so some months wouldn't be so quiet.

Mobile phones completely destroyed the handheld market, there is no future at all. Just look at the poor 3DS and Vita sales.
Nope. The hardware and software is not the problem. It's the perception. And anything that will confirm the negative perception rather than turn it around is a terrible idea.

I would be sad... but actually, It wouldn't be a bad idea.
Nintendo's consoles popularity is going worse and worse every gen (except for the Wii, that was just a fad and that's why it sold so well), so yeah, I think the next console could sell worse even than Wii U...
Hey don't click here ! It's creepy !!
I want a PlayStation All-Stars Sequel ! Come on Sony, stop making too many shooters !
I'll make a better signature when I'll have time to do it...
I love Nintendo consoles, but if they go third party like Sega (unlikely for a good while) I will be okay with that. I just want their games to be released in some fashion :)

Add me for Pokemon, New Leaf, and Fire Emblem, Mario Kart 8.
I hope not.
After (Finally!) playing MK8, I decided that as bad as the WiiU is, I'll never live without Nintendo's First Party.
Unless they can make Wii-like hits consoles, I don't see why still making consoles, from a casual point of view at least.
