Forums - Gaming - Weekly global 21 June: XBOX ONE increase again

Boy that was a heavy fall for Wii U. Good for the XOne though; all very close up there now.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Price drop only helped XBOX ONE be closer behind PS4. And WiiU seems to have lost the "MK8 bounce". Nothing over 100k is to be expected. Console sales will lag from this point forward as people prepare to make purchases during the holiday season.

PC GAMING: BEST GAMES. WORST CONTROLS

A mouse & keyboard are made for sending email and typing internet badassery. Not for playing video games!!!

Poor Wii U :(

These XB1 numbers are so wrong.
The pricedrop was last week, not this week, so if we need to see a boost, it was not now, but the week before.

And again, Vgcharts will look like a bad site in one week with NPD numbers, as usual.

You obviously don't know how price cuts affect sales. They boost for more than just 1 week. They grow to a peak and then lower to a stable point. Check Wii U's price drop last year and you'll see the pattern.

I know that, of course, but the first week is mostly better than the week after.

Well, no point talking about that, we will see the real numbers with NPD after all.

No, its not. Even the PS3's price drop in 2007 had the same affect. It took word of mouth before people jumped on it.

Not that i trust these numbers, we all know they will be adjusted.

But you all should expect Destiny bundle to eat some monthly sales for the PS4,

Wow go Xbone if accurate.

People saying ps4/x1 sales were frontloaded and because they don't compare to Wii the market is doomed forget Wii is the real frontloaded (as other Nintendo consoles that have premature drops) it was tracking to pass ps2 and hit 200M (as was DS) but ended up short on 100M. So I'm pretty comfortable seeing ps4>ps3 and x1>x360, accepting that WiiU is declining. Because if the market returns to 6th gen numbers it won't be a big problem to sony, ms and third parties because that is also the the base they had for gen 7. The one losing is Ninty and shovelwares put on Wii, so I sincerely don't care. The market can be health with ps4 100-120M and X1 50-70M, Nintendo is at odds.
