Worried about R rated Games.
Australia.
In this day and age, with the Internet, ignorance is a choice! And they're still choosing Ignorance! - Dr. Filthy Frank

Western Australia, LMAO.
The whole state is one giant desert with a single small city.
Still, it is a sign of just how fucking awful our current government is. This is nothing compared to some of the other shit they're trying to pull.
Oh FFS! Not this again! I thought this was all settled when Atkinson finally stepped down. You mean to say they still haven't given up on this?
And why do they keep bringing children into it? This happens every time. Seriously, do these people not understand that R18+ games aren't for children? That's the goddamn point of the classification! And the really ridiculous thing is that even with the R rating in place, it still hasn't stopped some games from being banned!
Seriously, can we please get some sensible people into these positions of power so that our laws can stop being the laughing stock of the first world?

Those guys are serious about these things there. Maybe they could do a 23+ rating or something, if full grow up adults want to play these games, I guess it would no harm anyone. I wonder how they regulate pornography.

Unless the laws have been changed in recent years, it's pretty stupid. I seem to recall that it's technically illegal to sell or distribute pornography but it's not illegal to own. Good luck figuring out how that works. And in any case, I think you'll find it's one of those laws that everyone basically just ignores anyway. I'm sure there's plenty of porn being sold and I can't say I've ever heard of anyone being arrested or shut down for it.
Any attempt to control it has been made largely redundant by the internet anyway. Of course, that doesn't stop some people from trying. The ISP filter that Stephen Conroy was trying to push a few years ago was apparently targeting a lot more than just the illegal pornography that he was claiming it was all about. I have no doubt that, if they could have their way, there are still those who would have such a filter in place.

Hum, interesting. I was thinking the same: it is pretty useless to regulate this because of the internet.

To be honest, living in Australia sounds pretty cool to me man.
