Good luck figuring out how that works. And in any case, I think you'll find it's one of those laws that everyone basically just ignores anyway. I'm sure there's plenty of porn being sold and I can't say I've ever heard of anyone being arrested or shut down for it. Any attempt to control it has been made largely redundant by the internet anyway. Of course, that doesn't stop some people from trying. The ISP filter that Stephen Conroy was trying to push a few years ago was apparently targeting a lot more than just the illegal pornography that he was claiming it was all about. I have no doubt that, if they could have their way, there are still those who would have such a filter in place. |
Hum, interesting. I was thinking the same: it is pretty useless to regulate this because of the internet.
