ioi said a while ago that the 360 version of gta4 preorder number was way higher than the ps3 one.
He also said SSBB was higher than the 360 version of gta4, I added that so that you know which thread Im talking about, cant find link.

As you may have seen this morning/last night on GameHead with Geoff Keighley, we are announcing that a new franchise from Rockstar Games will be exclusive to PS3. As part of our long standing relationship with Rockstar, and the incredible success for both companies with the cultural icon that is Grand Theft Auto, we’ve agreed to the PlayStation exclusive rights of the next great franchise from the Rockstar studios.

Everyone knows to have success in this business you need to look ahead, identifying the talent and titles that are going to give consumers new kinds of gaming experiences that help set the bar for the rest of the industry. Rockstar has a heritage for doing just that. We have had incredible success with the GTA franchise and are happy to continue to offer those titles on our platforms, and even more excited about what’s to come from the current and future relationship between our companies. Rockstar really wanted to make a game that you can truly only do on PS3, harnessing the power of CELL and Blu-ray disc and this deal lets them do just that.. This is really a win-win situation for both companies. As Jack mentioned in the interview with Geoff, this franchise is not LA Noire, but something all new. We agreed with Rockstar and Take-Two Interactive Software that we wouldn’t disclose anything more about the deal or title at this time, so stay tuned, we’ll share more info as soon as we can.

If I am going to develop for HD ... and doing it long term ... and want to be exclusive ... I would look at the PS3.

If I wanted to make sure I make money, I would try to be multiplatform.

 Yeah I saw ioi post that. It also said that GTA4 (PS3+360) pre orders > SSBB pre orders. GTA4 is also being released almost 2 months after SSBB which only favours GTA4 on the pre order numbers.

 You mean it favors SSBB on the numbers... because there is more time for people interested in GTA 4 to preorder.

 Maybe we are looking at it differently but I can only see how it favours GTA4. If GTA4 already has more pre orders than SSBB, and it has an extra 2 months  for people to pre order it, that number is only going to increase over SSBB.

I am only concerned because of the bets in my sig.

this isnt the first time that this rumor has come up... and sony and rockstar have already confirmed that its not L.A. Noire... Team bondi( which is developing L.A. Noire) decided to make that game ps3 exclusive...  there was a rumor back in july that except for midnight club and gta IV that everything was gonna be ps3 exclusive... i think it has some truth to it now....

wait a minute wats up here you now that gears of war is coming on november, gta4 comes on april and the downloads contents come on august now the best is xbox 360 with 120 gb hdd and now with the lost of toshiba hddvd the movies comes downloables in the machineonly paying with microsoft points without move of our the house please open the eyes sonyers you doesnt now that ps3 is NOW most bad than xbox 360 in a lot of games and counts with a lot of exclusive games.. ps3 sorry but really sucks (i before was a sonyer) but my 360 open my eyes is more cheap and best more good games xbox live is the more funny than play station network (a lot of lag) and is free but after of stole 600 dollars in a atackin door thats your desition but please do you now the games that comes in this 2008

Not only is this old-ish, but we now have a heavily rumored answer to whatthe game will be: a spiritual successor to Red Dead Revolver.
