You misunderstand me. I am not "boycotting" EA. I simply will not take $60 of my hard earned money and boy a mediocre game. And I feel that as gamers we can bitch and whine on the forums all we want, but the best way to send that message home to these suits that actually make the decisions is through our wallets. This isn't about bioware or any other number of great games EA published (till date one of my best FPS games ever was medal of honor:frontline), its that EA seems to be having a growing reputation of rehashing titles or releasing extremely buggy games. They seem more intrested in how much money they can make from their customers instead of at least first making a great good game. My "not supporting EA" basically means that i have zero faith or confidence in EA anymore. It means that even for games like Mass effect 4, I would first wait at least a month and see if its a bug fest before i jump in. It means I would steer clear of all their sport titles as they no long er innovate or push those franchises. EA is fast becoming the publisher that games go to to die. |
1) Yes, thank you. Voting with your wallet is the only thing that matters.
2) I don't think it is all about money for EA, I just think they thought they knew better than DICE when they said "Just make the game ready," and they way underestimated how buggy a game that complex could be.
3) Yeah you can bet I won't buy another battlefied for a long time. I absolutely love BF4, but man did it need another few months of polishing...
Prediction for console Lifetime sales:

The person who made the video put a disclaimer at the very beginning of the video that these glitches very rarely occur. Hey, let's make fun of EA by linking a video with only glitches and act like that's a representation of what will happen whenever you play the game.
Here's a video of Street Fighter 2 bugs. I don't think I've ever experienced a bug in the game myself, but the game must be a pos because there's a Youtube video of this games super rare bugs.

I've seen no reason to support EA lately. I think I stopped supporting them after they took Medal of Honor out of the WWII era.

"I think it will be the HDS"-Me in regards to Nintendo's next handheld.
Everyone loves EA. So many great games. Already looking forward to the next 3 games from them.
Some day the fad of hating everything EA will pass.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
I think EA gets too bad of a rep. Activision is way worse. At least games like Battlefield have much higher budgets than COD. Yukes (Creators of WWE/Smackdown series) have glitches far worse than this. People just think it's cool to hate EA. They're not great, but far from the worst.
I haven't bought an EA game in five years, and even before then, my EA purchases were few and far between. Their games have little to no appeal. I also don't care for Activision or Ubisoft, but I'll buy one of their products over an EA product.
I think this is a contender for worst thread of the month ...
Not only has your malicious intent to incite hatred towards EA backfired but you've also made yourself more conceited in the process too. There is no pride in being a gamer. LOL
BTW the rest of the consumers will continue to buy EA's games whether your backwater ethical movements like it or not seeing as how I can't just simply miss out on dragon age.
FIFA, Dead Space and Battlefront.
EA has great franchises, but yeah those bugs can get very annoying. Dead Space was a very bug-free experience for me though.
I really like many of EA's games, and I'm going to buy Dragon Age: Inquisition and Battlefield: Hardline on PS4 and FIFA 15 along with my X1 this year.
