Man Aonuma... you are really crazy if you want to pull this through, but I love it!

Well, that size is relative. In real world units the Skyrim Map may measure 25km2, but, obviously it's supposed to portray an area way bigger than a single city like Kyoto. In reality, a single mountain with foothills would already be larger than 25km2, but in Skyrim there's a whole lot of different mountains and landscapes.

Basically all Aonuma is saying is it will be big.

Makes me wonder how big the development team is...

"I think it will be the HDS"-Me in regards to Nintendo's next handheld.

Actually it's around 37km2, or 14.5 sq miles, but yeah, it's supposed to represent much biger world.

Daggerfall is only one in the series that (most likely) has real size (of over 62k sq miles)

I haven't played Skyward so I don't know about it.

If you are a true old school Zelda fan you will hate SS or find very very many flaws in it.

but if you got into zelda 2006-now then you will like it.

the sky is like WW's sea but even emptier.

Bullshit. SS has many flaws as Fi and the empty sky but also have great combat, neat puzzles, surface is miles ahead of TP Hyrule Field and the story is better than most Zelda's. Plus it fixed all the ruppee's problems with past entries.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

Yeah I just saw someone mentioning '25', I didn't actually know .

I think what he's going for is a world that feels like you are exploring something as vast as the city of Kyoto. That seems perfect for Zelda and I would be very pleased.

It clearly looks very large and open. My biggest hope is that there is a real sense of journey, variety in areas (hopefully a large coastal ocean area, perhaps with a boat to explore, snowy mountain peaks, etc) and several different villages to visit along the way.

I think they're going to deliver.

Yeah, they probably miscalculated miles to kms...

Anyway, I hope Aonuma and his team take few pointers from other great open-word games of the past, and make Zelda once again not just about puzzles...I would really love to see lot of exploration and smaller dungeons and events (in addition to main) that play more in style of C/W-RPGs.
