Actually it's around 37km2, or 14.5 sq miles, but yeah, it's supposed to represent much biger world.

Daggerfall is only one in the series that (most likely) has real size (of over 62k sq miles)

Yeah, they probably miscalculated miles to kms...

Anyway, I hope Aonuma and his team take few pointers from other great open-word games of the past, and make Zelda once again not just about puzzles...I would really love to see lot of exploration and smaller dungeons and events (in addition to main) that play more in style of C/W-RPGs.
