Forums - Gaming Discussion - Five things I like about my consoles.

Ok guys, we've had our consoles long enough in this new gen. Name five things that you like about your new consoles and five things you hate. It could be features, games, unique to your console.

PS4 (Likes):

1) Amazing Graphics (InFamous & Killzone)

2) Faster loading

3) Far easier to navigate than the PS3

4) PSN Plus

5) Touch pad & sound combo in the controller

PS4 (Dislikes):

1) UI is still bland and uncustomizable

2) No Youtube

3) No JRPG's (Come on Sony)

4) Multiplayer is apart of PSN +

5) Most of the top games were pushed back to 2015

Xbone (likes):

1) Sometimes games stay on even when you turn the console off.

2) Dont need gold for your Netflix, Youtube and Hulu.

3) You can change color scheme in tune with the look of your pic.

4) Rumble triggers

5) Games /Deals for Gold

Xbone (Dislikes):

1) Harder to navigate than the 360 (Game store as well)

2) Slower than my PS4 with downloads

3) Killer Instinct Ultra upgrade system

4) No HBO Go

5) Still lacks a strong first party presence.

Around the Network

WiiU (likes):

1) High quality first party games

2) The Gamepad. Off-tv play, surfing the web, new ways to play etc...

3) BC with Wii Games

4) Free online

5) The pro controller

WiiU (dislikes):

1) Bad third party support

2) Long gaming droughts

3) The VC not getting much attention

4) Lengthy loading screens on some games(lenghty for a Nintendo system anyway)

5) The name

Wii U

Like:

1) First party focus on gameplay over graphics.

2) Gamepad is convenient.

3) Pro Controller is my favorite controller this generation.

4) Best 1st party games.

5) Free online.

Dislike:

1) Not enough big 1st party games and exclusives.

2) Poor 3rd party multiplay support.

3) Less powerful hardware.

4) No cross buy.

5) No folders

@stage

Is there a way to organize your games in folders on ps4?

OP: The only next gen system i have right now is Wii U but i cant really think of any pros or cons. I just know that it's a regular ass system that gets the job done just like the rest of them lol

I havent tried to organize my games into the folders on my PS4. The games show up easily on your from Cross bar though and the xbone pins up your game to the front wall as long as the disc is still in. It bases everything on use and circulates. The PS4 is more focused in that way.

As for your other question, try to think of the things it does better than other consoles or its predecessor. I am sure there are things you console doesnt do that you wish it did.

Wii U

Likes:
1) Amazing first-party games
2) Great controller
3) Great local multiplayer
4) Good, free online features
5) Amazing first-party games

Dislikes:
hmm... can't recall anything I didn't like about it so far. Maybe just the fact that it's so underrated.
Sure, the game droughts are certainly a problem, but personally I don't mind.

EDIT: Yeah my #5 is same as #1 because the first-party games are that good. I just realized that there actually is a proper #5 for me:
5) Amazing graphics
Might not be as powerful as the other next-gen consoles, but I don't care. The Wii U games I've been playing all look amazing.

Yeah, I noticed that Nintendo can do a lot with the lack of graphics. They have such vibrant art styles that it works in harmony with the level of graphics that they have. Doesnt have to be realism intensive, just pumping out great visuals in an artistic fashion which is exclusive to Nintendo.

Awesome list dude!

The only thing I dislike about the wiiU is that the lack of third party and the account being tied to your account Console

netflix ui is great
good 1st party
miiverse is cool
can use many different controllers
pro controller is amazing

Dislikes
game droughts
cost of games rarely goes down
lack of use of gamepad for some games or poorly done

xboxone
likes

like ui for the most part

cannot adjust the size of the snap app, if I want to watch netflix while playing a game why can the video not just take up the corner instead of like 1/3 of the screen.
using gestures to control ui is just terrible I find.
