Definitely interested in star ocean getting a PC port but I not very fond of Ni No kuni or Level 5s other work except for Dark Cloud.

I get ya, OP. In fact, IMO, the biggest reason to own a console is the presence of JRPG's and other Japanese games. With consoles becoming diluted PC's, and Japanese support rapidly shifting to mobile, it's all the more reason to invest in a nice PC instead.

There are way bigger reasons than Japanese support to not invest in a gaming PC.

I always thought the reason it was disappointing was because of DRM, getting games later or not at all, bad optimized ports, and troubleshooting why a game doesn't work the way it's supposed to on my PC. Could have picked a lot better reasons than lack of JRPGS.

This is my opinion, I don't give a fuck about the other downfalls of it or the "better" reasons.

Subpar graphics, subpar performance, or less of a choice in control methods?

Aside from the Wii U, I predict the 8th gen to be the most mundane one so far. I intend to move most of my multiplat choices to PC ASAP.

Have you considered getting a Vita or 3DS? I know Vita is known for the amount of obscure japanese games (JRPGs probably being one of them) it gets, while 3DS has Bravely Default, Fire Emblem (if you're interested in Strategy JRPGs) and about to get Persona Q.

Current Consoles: Gaming PC, Wii U, 3DS

Everything has it's own strengths. You couldn't pay me to play Fallout or Dragon Age on anything but a PC, for example. You can look at it as disappointments or as everything having it's own space to shine.

Already mentioned some before, no need need to continue on about it. I built my gaming PC 2 years ago and ended up regretting it. Mostly just used it for MMOs.

Pc gaming is my favorite and I love my Pc more than anything, but if you want Jrpgs then you should either get a PS4 or a Vita in my opinion. Even a PS3 if you want epic Jrpgs right now. I have a Vita and PS3 for all my Japanese games that usually never come to Pc, and for the console/handheld exclusives, however literally everything else I get on my Pc (Third Parties, Indies, Pc Exclusives)
