Exclusive, ninjablade.

Perople only play exclusives? How is that relevant?

Why take part in a conversation you can't seem to understand? And why keep returning to a forum where you are a laughing stock?

This is your 16th alt since you were perma-banned; you really should see someone about this obsessive behaviour.

I skipped Crysis 2 & 3 because they dumbed them down for consoles. Shooters designed for consoles are always terrible on PC in my opinion. At least I don't know any counterexamples.

They were terrible on consoles too. ;)

I frankly don't feel any remorse towards this mess up. Crysis 1 was a fun game. But constantly abandoning the primary character, not once, but two times. Everyone was gonna hate cry 2 and 3. I really cared about the story.

It wasn't any mind blowing thing. But setting up your player in cry 1. But then throwing him out for some stupid unknown. Then KILLING that character in the 3rd. The hell would I even buy the 3rd game. If they themselves didn't care about what came before. Shitty check point saves, instead of save anywhere. Crysis 1 was in no way easy and short because of that. The story just kept going insane.

All they kept hyping with a stupid bow and arrow. You knew they where screwed. What other really good product did they ever produce. I never played Ryse, so I can't judge that game. But it does show not a lot came from it. Or people were burned by Crysis, and refused to buy anything from them in fear of the same story abuse. I stayed away from it for this reason.

Yeah, the PC versions are probably still better than the console versions, but the entire design is limited compared to shooters that are designed for PC's.

Again, from personal experience I can tell you that most people who pirate are collage students, with a $500 PC that they use for their studies or work, and play pirated games on medium settings at best. You don't need a $1500+ PC to play ALL games, and in all honesty many don't give a fuck.

In my experience also. They're also entitled brats who think they should have a luxury without paying for it.

There is a difference between your personal experience and mine. I live and have lived in countries where you can buy pirated console and PC in a freaking mall, and I'm not talking about poor malls either, I'm talking middle and even high class malls. In central and south America piracy is HUGE, till this day I haven't meet a single person who didn't own (or still owns) a pirated PS2...and I'm not joking.

Till this day I also haven't meet a single person who doesn't own a pirated PC game (myself included), with Steam that has changed a little bit, but piracy is still insanely huge.

Developing countries are a whole other beast when it comes to piracy. This is a store in a mall in Brazil, and all those games you see on the shelves are pirated.

And in the case of Brazil specifically, games have insane taxes, meaning that for the common folks, gaming is literally almost a luxury. Can't really blame "poor" people when piracy is basically the only means they have to play games.

A part of me hopes this is true. I also want them to survive it. This company needs to realize that they can't keep making tech demos and selling them off as games.

Then don't make highly generalized statements about a group of people you can't possibly know, or have any actual numbers on their purchasing practices (since no one else does).  It's really easy to have a conversation about PC Piracy, Console Piracy, the difficult of dealing with all the various GPU options in an engine on PC etc... without asserting unsubstantiated assumptions about millions of people.  You only know, what the industry parrots have said.  Funny how none of them actually give digital numbers, isn't it?  I mean, they get all the payment from every digital delivery service out there, so you know they have them.  Why would they keep that secret?  Hmm, fishy, no?

Take a second to think about this, because it's really very simple.  You only know what the devs/pubs tell you, yet they don't give you hard numbers for digital sales with every game launched, should be enough to tell you there's more to this than just PC Piracy.  And by the way, I'm keeping this civil, so you don't have to worry about me going all crazy.  It's just very insulting from my perspective, to be casually thrown into a category of a criminal, when I've spent as much money on console and PC games as I have.  Try to keep that in mind the next time you want to generalize an entire segment of the gaming population.

No one called you a criminal, and sorry if you think that i was generalizing or talking about you, but what I said is majority/most PC gamers. I am basing my numbers not outta stuff that I am pulling outta my ass but from every torrent site I know of. And yu can chose to ignore that on these torrent sites PC game version torrents outnumber console version torrents by nearly 10:1. But that is a fact. Do you know that Dead space on the PC was pirated more times on the PC than it actually sold on all platforms? The devs actually announced that. So this isn't a small insignificant problem that should just go away.

And you know what you are saying about only knowing what the devs are saying? That goes both ways, but we can at least say this much, if an IP has great sales, someone somewhere always seems to talk about it. When you don't hear someone trumpeting sales numbers.... then you know wsomething is wrong somewhere.

And again, I did not say this relates to every single PC gamer out there. Simple logic would tell you that theer will always be exceptions. It doesn't change that the majority of piracy of any sort though, is done by PC gamers. You may call that generalization, but I honestly don't know how else to say it. I actually find it strange that you have chosen to take this as a personal attack on yourself. Can you point out where i said every PC gamer is a pirate? I said majority/most pc gamers pirate their games. I said (or insinuated not sure anymore) that PC gamers do more pirating than buying. I further went on to say that maybe your friends and yourself were the exception. If I outright generalized then I am sorry cause i don't think thats what i did, But I still stand by what I said initially, a mojority of the PC gaming space do more pirating than they actually buy games. And in truth you can't blame them, its too damn easy. Like if I play on PC, and I want to play dark souls 2, in 2 mins I can have it downloading to my PC and be done in 4hrs and I would be playing it. Thats the harsh reality about PC gaming.

Making a mega-budget game for PC only is financial suicide, hell, devs go backrupt these days even with PC and consoles to draw on. You need every possible source of income to recoup those kind of ridiculously excessive expenditures.

The better solution would be to just spend a sensible amount of money on your game, instead of enough to buy a small country.

Star Ward The old Republic is the third most expensive game ever made, its only on PC, and its been profitable.

Opinions are like assholes , everyone has one.

Hahahahaha why in the world are they fighting over the Ryse IP? Just sell it to Microsoft and take whatever you can get. It was one of the blandest games I've ever played.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!
