(Won)Bet with TechoHobbit: He(Techno) says 10 million by January 1,2014 I say 9 million by then. Winner gets 2 weeks of sig control.

Yep, and here are the exact numbers.  Over the holidays...

The PS4's sales will surpass the PS2's lifetime numbers.

The Wii U's sales will increase by precisely 3 units.  No more, no less.

And the XB1's sales will start to go backwards.

That's my prediction and I'm sticking to it!

3 - 5 million?  You really think so?  That would basically be launch sales all over again.  If the holidays can do that then it would be one hell of a bump.  Not that I disagree - I honestly don't know.  I'm new to the whole "predicting sales" thing, which is kind of why I gave a tongue-in-cheek answer.

Well, PS3 sold 1.3 million launch year (November 19th-December 30th) according to VGChartz. In about the same time frame a year later (November 17th-December 29th), it sold 2.9 million.
