Mario KArt Wii's battle mode was also terrible.

Forced teams was a much worse decision than track battle stages.

No, that's not what I am saying.

At least a couple of the older members understood it, I guess it's just not that obvious for newer people.

Super Mario Galaxy's were amazing! Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Smash Bros Brawl, NSMBW>NSMBU, DKC Returns and even though Mario Kart 8 is better than MKWii, it was still a good game. Thing is, even though there were a lot of "casual" games on Wii like Wii Fit and stuff like that, Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Kirby, Smash Bros, and other beloved series stayed great!

A lot of gamers didn't like that the Wii sold, so they made a fuss about everything Nintendo did. Since the Wii U doesn't sell, it's only the most childish people who still need to get hits in, and the hardware sales alone are already big enough of a target. This is really about the people who do not or only rarely play Nintendo games, but on the internet they account for a significant portion of the pie.

Ah, I get what you're saying now and agree with your point. But like others have said, there are a few exceptions to your argument.

It's easy to tell when Nintendo is actually going to do well in a certain generation. If the internet adores their new console and Nintendo mentions, "catering to the "core"", then you know it'll flop. On the other hand, when Nintendo's new console is rejected by the vocal internet minority and Nintendo finds some blue oceans, then you know it has a large chance for success.
