Which is the most innovative shooter of E3?

Destiny 36 13.53%

Splatoon 186 69.92%

Evolve 19 7.14%

Sunset Overdrive 22 8.27%

Total:263

Shooters are probably the most polemical genre nowdays.

They have been incredibly successful commercially in the last years. On the other hand, they are quickly pointed as a off-putting, repetitive and boring by users of dedicated gaming sites and foruns. A casual preference that hasn't required any effort from developers to innovate.

Like all trends though, it will lose its strength eventually if it is not renewed. At 2014 E3 we could see 4 games that try, to a greater or lesser extent, add a twist to it.

Which of them do you guys think offer the most innovative approach? There is a poll, but feel free to rank and give your opinions on each of them.

Sunset Overdrive, I guess? Hm. It's hard to say because we haven't really seen much from Splatoon at all, and that game has a lot of potential.

I'm gonna vote "Not Sunset Overdrive".

4 ≈ One

I think Splatoon really resonates with me! All that colorful "ink" everywhere that just looks soo damn tastey! Its my kinda game with all the interesting elements like turning into a squid and etc! And just the way they shoot the ink is looks soo damn lustful! Just cannot wait till I get my hands and draw Penises everywhere! Go white team!

All of them seem innovative in their own ways. I will pick Splatoon for obvious reasons

Mechanically, Splatoon strikes me as the most original. In terms of connectivity, Destiny is more of a game-changer.

Destiny or the Division.

While I really like what I've seen in Splatoon, asymmetric ideas behind Evolve's team-based combat seem to me most interesting.

The Division.
