There you go, BX1 did 64.5k, which is much closer to 45/50k then 100k. Thus <50k should have been a poll option.

Either way, it sold 1,024 more units then PS4 in USA (which means your Gamestop's friend data was correct). 70% increase in sales after 4 weeks of pre-orders, yet still 3,974 units behind the WiiU.

What's your prediction for week 2 sales? Will XB1 sales hold strong or will it slowly dwindle back to 40,000 weekly?

I never said it would do 100k did I? I said there's no way it would be 45k. Thats how this whole thing started. 

I know, but it's less ridiculous to have a <50,000 option then a 100,000+ option, that was my point. It sold much much closer to 50,000 then 100,000 so my arguement was valid.

wiiu surprised me thought it would be last out of the 3 but nope mk8 you impress me sometimes and anyway another 100k week for mk8 :D ww

If Nintendo properly stocked up on Mario Kart 8 bundles, it would probably be selling closer to 100k weekly. Every retailer in my area is sold out and I can't seem to find out, was this a limited edition console or are retailers just sold out?

Mario Kart is Nintendo's flagship franchise, I'm not surprised WiiU is selling well now that there is a "killer ap" on it. I hope it sells well, I really don't like XB as a company anymore after owning a 360/Windows phone and I want Nintendo to be 2nd.

yeah get those bundles out there but seriously though mk8 might have 4 weeks over 100k and its only a summer title its doing pretty dang good

just hold it through july august should be good japan sales should boost then of course september will have a little boost then bayo will boost then toad will boost then the grand finale boost of all wii u boost smash bros

If VGchartz numbers are close to the real numbers it did not do that well.

Well.. The X Box one did FAR worse than I predicted... and I think I said 90k so nothing too spectacular... Hmm that is not good for the One.. and next week I imagine the PS4 will be back to easily outselling the One in USA as well. This gen reminds me a lot of the PS2 vs X Box Gamecube.. and even here in the States Everyone wants a PS4 even loyal X Bots from last gen. I think that is why the sales were so flat and they will continue to fall back down from here.

Many expectations on here were simply unrealistic and relying upon some sort of imagined pent up demand for the XBO with nothing but the $499 MSRP holding back consumers.

What happened in reality comes as no surprise given that the new SKU arrived with no major software title or features to create a significant jump in sales.

The $399 SKU is as MS would put it: an additional choice for the consumer based upon consumer feedback. Not everyone wants Kinect.

Still curious to see how the sales trend over the next couple weeks, but I expect nothing unusual.
