I really do not see the need for a new Mario Paint game, not much they could add that would make it much different

Well, while Mario Paint was fun on SNES, they already evolved that more or less into Art Academy. No need for Mario Paint anymore. I think that was a good decision.

Now let's hope they did bring over the music creator tools from Mario Paint .

Apparently, they are going to be including more art styles. Here is hoping that SMW is included.

I have not been too keen on the recent 2d Mario games (good, no doubt, but lacking soul, which is a big deal to me) but I am actually really thrilled for this game. Especially now that the music is being given a thought. Would be wonderful to run through some new, creative stages with classic tunes (from any series) in the background. Hopefully it works out well
