Interesting to see this get so few responses compared to all the other threads about this game. Oh well. Hope the game turns out well.

That just proves that its cool to hate on this game now, without any such disappointment coming from major sites. Only sites calling it uninspired are the smaller ones trying to get hits.

Of course, haters from other consoles jump in on that because it is a PS4 exclusive. The smaller sites just give them more fodder. People completely ignore the good previews of this game because they don't want it to turn out to be good. In doing so they also forget RAD's incredible record so far.

This is the stupidest thing I ever read. People might be jealous of the fact that it is a PS4 exclusive, albeit, not many. But no one in their right mind HOPES for a game to flop. If you believe that, then I question the type of gamers you surround yourself with. I don't own a PS4 and I in no way want any of it's exclusives to flop, why would I? It's the other way around, people secretly want these games to blow them away to give them a reason to upgrade from the past generation or to invest in more than just a Wii U or an Xbox One.

If the story and world remain as consistently detailed and interesting as we've thus far seen, and if the gameplay is refined enough to keep you entertained through it, then this could be a really great game. I doubt it's going to have much replay value, but if it can deliver the type of "cinematic experience" that RAD are aiming for then i doubt many will complain.

The fact that Ready At Dawn is developing the game should ensure that its of the highest quality. They are among the most talented develpoers.

BS. They don't have a resume of original content to warrant such confidence. They're good at taking other people's IPs and doing more of the same with the established material. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, essentially.

But we know nothing from them in terms of original gameplay, creativity, etc. Don't say the game is ensured to have the highest quality because of RaD, when the only things we've seen from them are, essentially, other people's games. I could easily trace the Mona Lisa, but if I tried my own painting, it'd look like it was made by a 5 year old. Or it could be a masterpiece. But you wouldn't have a legitimate reason to assume the ensured quality of my original painting based on my tracing of the Mona Lisa. Moral of the story: don't jump to conclusions based on suspect "credibility". Just like me tracing a painting then making my own, you should take "wait and see" approach to The Order, if you're optimism is because RaD is making it

Many people do want it to flop on this website. My friends who are gamers are also excited for this game, some of them bought a PS4 in anticipation of this game. But people on this website certainly like to hate on it, partially because its a PS4 exclusive and partially because its RAD's first new IP.

Also people certainly are jealous of this being a PS4 exclusive, it can be seen in their desperate attempts at bringing it down. You may not be one of them, but there certainly are many. Believe it or not, its one of the most anticipated games of 2015 for many gamers I know of.

Sounds great. Will likely have to pick it up at some point.

Hopefully it releases sooner rather than later.

If you didn't know already, they had to create assets from the ground up for all their PSP games. In my opinion their PSP God Of War games were better than the PS2 ones, which is incredibly difficult to do.

It takes skills to develop new games from existing franchises on less powerful hardware with less control options and make games which surpass the originals inspite of these limits. Nobody could have thought of developing God Of War on PSP, RAD did it and did so brilliantly.

Even Daxter was amazing. Of course they have created the highest rated PSP game on Metacritic, which cannot be done by a mediocre developer on any platform. It takes skills and talent to do so, which is what I'm saying they have in them.

You mean people aren't allowed to think the game isn't as exciting as you do? They aren't allowed to think that maybe this whole zombie (zombie wearwolves?) phase has kinda run it's course? I have yet to see one person in here say "This game is gonna flop because I have an Xbox One and it's on PS4" so where are you getting this information from? Why are people allowed to come into the Microsoft section and say they don't think Sunset Overdrive looks any good, yet when people come in here and say the same about The Order it's seen as blasphamy.

People have every right to state their opinions on a game, whatever it may be and however unpopular their opinion may be. Whether they have some sort of hidden agenda or not can't be proven unless they come in here and state it. So let's stop with these assumptions and just maybe take into perspective that not everyone in the world feels the same exact way as we do.

I agree people shouldn't talk about other exclusives either if they weren't interested in them in the first place. All I said is that this game is mostly being hated upon on this site by people who don't own a PS4. I can clearly see a trend here. Now this game is very similar to Gears and Uncharted in many ways but I don't see how that is negative. It is differentiating itself with its setting and enemies.

Not every game needs to be the pinnacle of innovation. They just need to perfect what they are doing, and if The Order: 1886 does it I don't see why it needs to be put down when Uncharted 4 will be pretty much the same formula and so will Gears 4. The setting and enemies are different enough to make this game similar yet very differnet to those series.

Also if you didn't read the article till now just read it once. Your opinions might change. It all depends on perspective.

because there is nothing to spin in this preview and completely contradicts the "generic 3rd person shooter" mantra that's said like its a negative.... which will be completelty ignored for Uncharted and Gears.

Isn't moriarty a huge xbox fanboy too? Or is he the huge PS fanboy? I can never keep journalists bias straight.

No, Moriarty is on the PS Beyond Podcast team with Greg Miller. Moriarty is a big Japanese dev supporter. He goes to Japan a lot and covers previews of JRPG's for Sony. Ryan McCaffrey is the Xbox fanboy along with Mitch Dyer. (He's the one who spread the fud about ND forcing Amy H out)
