BS. They don't have a resume of original content to warrant such confidence. They're good at taking other people's IPs and doing more of the same with the established material. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, essentially. But we know nothing from them in terms of original gameplay, creativity, etc. Don't say the game is ensured to have the highest quality because of RaD, when the only things we've seen from them are, essentially, other people's games. I could easily trace the Mona Lisa, but if I tried my own painting, it'd look like it was made by a 5 year old. Or it could be a masterpiece. But you wouldn't have a legitimate reason to assume the ensured quality of my original painting based on my tracing of the Mona Lisa. Moral of the story: don't jump to conclusions based on suspect "credibility". Just like me tracing a painting then making my own, you should take "wait and see" approach to The Order, if you're optimism is because RaD is making it |
If you didn't know already, they had to create assets from the ground up for all their PSP games. In my opinion their PSP God Of War games were better than the PS2 ones, which is incredibly difficult to do.
It takes skills to develop new games from existing franchises on less powerful hardware with less control options and make games which surpass the originals inspite of these limits. Nobody could have thought of developing God Of War on PSP, RAD did it and did so brilliantly.
Even Daxter was amazing. Of course they have created the highest rated PSP game on Metacritic, which cannot be done by a mediocre developer on any platform. It takes skills and talent to do so, which is what I'm saying they have in them.
