As always, thanks for reserving the second post. You should do these threads more often :)

I always get surprised at minor Vita hardware bumps from software I'd never expect to bump it (i.e. a multi-multi-platform One Piece game and port of a PSP title which is already available on Vita). But there you go.

WiiU "holding on" better than I thought, though. It's got the psychological barrier of 10k locked in, which is something.

Software wise - Persona Q a little better than I was expecting; Mario Kart a little worse than I was expecting. Bombas all around from One Piece (I wonder if we're going to see the WiiU version of Kamen Rider at ~ 25% of the PS3 version. That'd do better than I was expecting if so). Massively overshipped too. Did Namco really not see this coming?

Bit of a discrepancy between the Legend of Heroes numbers. They'll even out at the same amount as Zero no Kiseki for VGC purposes though, which is something I guess.

Otherwise, quiet week. Meh.

if the wii u can hold 10k in japan thatll be good

and im actually surprise at mk8

because i thought it would go down below 40k

Not a bad week for Wii U.
Unfortunately there`s no way to keep the momentum as high as it needed, when Hyrule Warriors - which is the next big game - only comes out in August.
The other games may or not make a difference in HW, but Wii U needed a big game in July, at least, to keep the momentum going.

From this information, I guess Wii U will drop back to where it was before.

I expected Wii U to fall below 10k this week, that's a "nice" surprise. Mario Kart 8 is also holding up generally well, it would've been better if it held over 50k this week but alas.

3DS is meh. Sad numbers for the pack leader. The 3DS especially needs a remodel in Japan.

July is bareboned.

August will be good for the Wii U with "dragon quest x all in one" launching Aug 7, and Hyrule Warriors on August 14, which is a nice one-two punch. Then bayonetta 2 on september. Then the holiday will have toad's tracker, smash bros and i think mario party 10.

The WIi U will have a good second half, but i think nintendo needs a price cut over there

This is when Nintendo release another game and build momentum on that. Sadly won't happen. Still at least it's holding above 10k, which is what games like MK8 do.

Anything for the Wii U before Hyrule Warriors?

Kamen Riders in June, Wii Sports Club retail is coming in July and Monster Hunter Frontier G5 in July...none of those games will be very huge but its something.

for some reason i feel like wii sports club will spark a boost in japan

doubt it but i got a feeling it could possibly do wonders

I doubt it. I don't think a rehash is good enough to spark interest imo. Still surprised no mention of Wii U Sports yet

Actually, July has Wii Sports Club. Not that it will do anything for Wii U, anyway.

August seems to be a good month. Hope that japanese gamers want B2 - as that is the only thing they will get.
Problem is that Captain Toad and Smash are holiday titles - at least in the West they are. So, from B2 to those games what`s coming out? I hope Nintendo has something else planned for those months, to be revealed in the next ND.

It`s really bad when, approaching 17 months of being on the market, and japanese support is pretty much inexistent.

Did One Piece flopped as expected or even harder ?
LOH sold ok. MK showing some legs, same for WiiU's hardware.
And GO Persona +200k now !

No, i think one piece did better wat i expected on all platforms, cant wait for a certain somebody here to comment on the numbers :0 (the user thinks Vita+ps3 versions would be HUGE)

It seems this week there's nothing to comment ;)
