Thats pretty annoying. Seen some Nintendo E3 conference videos and people go crazy over every little Nintendo announcement, but when it comes to Bayonetta 2, its often "Eh, it looks ok".
People love the game because of the awesome, high-octane gameplay and not because of the sexual nature! I swear!

Because it's super fun and over-the-top. I always get a crap rating but I still enjoy the game play.
I played it and thought it was an average game =o, but apparently the controls are super precise so that's seems to be the main reason I see of people liking it. My main liking of it was the music though :D. Otherwise I probably wouldn't have cared for it.

Bayonetta 2 really isn't that big of a deal--or, rather, it wouldn't be that big of a deal if it were multi-platform.
I didn't like Bayonetta and traded my copy without completing it. It was interesting at first, and I was very excited when I bought it, but after awhile it just felt very juvenile. I didn't care about the characters or the story at all because it all seemed so silly to me. Without that, the combat turned into a chore. At certain points, I got the impression that it put trying to visually shock the player over being fun to play.

I didn't buy Bayonetta 1 at full price, why would I buy Bayonetta 2 at full price (if I decide to continue with this franchise).
I did however buy XenoBlade Chronicles, The Last Story and Pandora's Tower full price and I already have XenoBlade Chronicles X and Zelda pre-ordered.

I also have Mario Party 10 pre-ordered, but Mario Party 9 was a real turn for the franchise. Finally Nintendo is actually trying to make them good games and no crap like 3-8 were.

^This. This is why the people in that thread expecting the game to sell millions were somewhat delusional. Bayonetta 2 is NOT made by nintendo at the end of the day. That would have been its only chance to pull decent numbers because anything nintendo makes would be spinned by it's fans into the best thing since slice bread no matter how terrible. Devil's third is another fail incoming.
