Never heard of it until it was released. And I am on 3 gaming sites daily. That should tell you how good the marketing was.

There are 2 kinds of new IPs
Ones like Watch Dogs, which are hyped and advertised ALOT and sell amazing
Then ones like Murdered: Soul Suspect which maybe get 1 more commercial, not even and don't sell that well

I was curious about it prior to release, but decided there was no way it was worth $60 after watching some streams of it. There just doesn't seem to be any real challenge to the game at all, not from combat, puzzles, detective work.....nothing. Just seems boring

For what it seems to be, sales look decent IMO. Never the less, there are far to many superior games, and most gamers budget is limited at best, and nonexistent in worst case. I like the idea behind it, but the only way I will ever pay for it is if I can get the PC version for under 5$ on Steam.

The Souls games are big exceptions.
