let Wii U shine for at least one week people. PS4 still will be the leader

It's their time to bask in the sun?

The worse your console does the more vocal your fanbase becomes on the internet. :P

There is one specific fanbase thats always vocal and always picking a fight tho and that is def NOT nintendo  just saying :)

No, it's to do with audience and what was shown I agree, but Nintendo didn't show anything that would appeal to casual audiences (this sales won't reflect their E3 hype). They appealed to the Nintendo core thus all the twitter and forum noise. PS4 and XB1 showed a lot of stuff similar of course, but a lot of their games, Call of Duty ect appeals to an audience that isn't likely to "spread the word" on twitter or forums.

Not to mention, how many multiplat PS4/XB1 games were talked about on twitter? Those are people talking about XB1 or PS4 (or PC) but not WiiU. Factor that in and it would be largely in PS4 and XB1 favour.

I agree. All fanbases are on the internet, and I believe that this e3, Nintendo gave their fans the most to talk about.

So we agree, and basically DerNebel was again incorrect. It has nothing to do with how WiiU sold but with what Nintendo showed.

No, we don't agree. A fanbase is made up of players, not people who talk on interet forums and twitter. Nintendo's is clearly more online due to who has bought the system (nintendo fans) vs COD type fans who won't be.

Not to mention like I said, a lot of XB1/PS4 peeps talking about multiplatform games, for their consoles, that wouldn't put XB1 and PS4 in their hastag or w/e.

Not that this isn't a silly and ridiculous way to judge anything anyway, but more people were talking about XB1 and PS4 games on twitter, forums and social media, than they were Nintendo games.

Edit - Pretty much already what I wrote out, please don't make me do it again!

That is actually shocking.

The conference with the best format and most interesting announcements was the most popular! Very shocking I know!

both of those are debatable and subjective. for all we know, those could have been negative mostly or positive, we dont know. besides, anoher kirby, another zelda, another yoshi, another mario game (well toad spin off) im sure they are  high quality but nothing shocking uness splatoon is the cod killer titanfall failed to be. all conferences were safe as fuck.

And that started when the PS3 was doing really bad, didn't it? ;)

My statement wasn't really exclusive to Nintendo, but yeah if one party becomes very vocal then it's not surprising that the movement against that party becomes very vocal as well.

Or maybe the noise from e3 has nothing to do with the U's sales and the vocality of the fanbase, but with the content shown at e3.

Just maybe.

I was going to type something different here, but then I realized that I don't really know how this was calculated.  What exactly counted as e3 tweets?  Do all the tweets that came from the developer roundtable count?

The usual suspects doing the rounds here I see, exactly as expected.

  • 47% of all tweets sent out during last week's E3 expo mentioned Nintendo

In comparison, PlayStation claimed 28 percent of the Twitter conversation, while Xbox claimed 25 percent. So in that regard, it's perfectly plausible to say that Nintendo "won" this year's E3.

This doesn't take into account the semantics of the tweets. For all we know, 80% of the tweets that mention Nintendo could negative towards Nintendo.

Does that aply to Sony and microsoft?  Nintendo did a good job, maybe that is the reason.  Their show was differant and it caused more buzz than the same old presentations.  It appears Sony and Microsoft are caught in the past.
