ye true i was juz bigging up Madden...but u gotta admit they are affiliated with a lot of great games command and conquer, need for speed...who knows maybe if they do get Take Two it will improve the GTA series in the future...

Command & Conquer was, in my opinion, much better before EA bought/destroyed Westwood.

The best football game was the old 2K series. Compare Madden 2005 and NFL 2K5. Its like comparing games from different genreations.
2K5 is the version 2K released at $20 to try to detrhone Madden. EA went out and got an exclusive contract the next year.

The question I have though is since when is paying 1-1/2 (1.5) times somethings worth insulting? Is 2K going to really jump that high from GTA IV. Wasn't the company having cash flow problems within the last year?

 Command and conquer.... they killed westwood too.

I went to look up the bullfrog thing and I got this:

Just because they realize there is a problem doesn't mean they aren't going to do the same thing in a different way all over again.

Yeah, a friend and I were talking about it earlier:

Friend: saw that
Friend: dear EA...
Friend: we understand that you can come up with anything inventive on your own so you have to buy it like the rich kid that hangs out in the ghetto but try working on yourself a bit and maybe you'll get there
Me: Yeah, 2B buys a lot.
Me: Make some more WiiWare, XBLA, and PSN games.
Me: Get back to your Indep. Developer roots.

With that much cash, EA could really do something good versus trying to strong arm Take Two.



Numbers are like people. Torture them enough and you can get them to say anything you want.

So how many staff members are EA trying to get? Nintendo has 4000, while EA now has 10.000 + (they had 9000 as of 1/1/07 I believe)

They are also losing money. Is this some kind of plan like MS'? Where they try to get big into the market and then earn money`?

I wonder if GTA4 sells loads (which it is practically guaranteed to do so) will Take-Two even consider a higher offer?

 Of course, the Japanese government would likely prevent EA from buying a Japanese company that did not want to be bought.  Of course, you already know this info.
