I still don't understand how anyone is being deceived? It is obvious that it's a trailer, or to translate it more generically, it is an advertisement for the game. It informs the general public of the upcoming game. Of course it cannot be a complete representation of a game perhaps a year from completion.
People got upset about Dead Island trailer. I thought it was awesome. But I was reasonable enough to know that the entire game will not be slo-mo in reverse. The CGI trailer let me know that there is a game, excited me about it, and then in the following 6 months there were plenty of other trailers and videos, interviews and developer commentaries, articles and photos, which painted the picture of an actual game.
We need more quality CGI trailers, this year I was very pleased with Bloodborne, Tomb Raider, Dead Island 2, and many more. Excellent trailers....
