Don't worry you're not the only one! I've got a friend who mains her and she is my secondary! Daisy ftw! 
Poor Baby Rosalina. She doesn't get nearly as much love as she should. It's not her fault her gluteus maximus has not grown fully and therefore can not be used in a sentence such as "DATASS."
I'll give an opinion from a non Nintendo fan. Pretty much what is always mentioned. Ninteindo fans love most Nintendo games regardless of genre and/or quality, and most official Nintendo character that they don't know of get immediate praise from them. Nintendo notices these characters are popular and strikes while the iron is hot. So these characters get a brand new game(sometimes even after the series being dead for over 20 years,) get a major part in a future game in their series, or get brought back for several games in the series whether it's an appearance or as a main character.
Just watch. Rosalina is going to either get her own game or have a significant role in future games.

I just thought of this. Nintendo fans rarely ever get brand new IPs, just new characters who work their way into pre existing IPs. Nintendo fans have to hype up atleast something new.

jk, don't take it seriously! It suits me, well kinda, well not really, I'm not a pervert I just like to use her.
Not sure if anyone has mentioned, but she is in a very useful weight class (low heavy) with a poor selection of characters in it. DK, Waluigi, Rosalina and Roy I believe, all are very meh characters. I would choose Lemmy / Larry / Yoshi / Iggy / Metal Mario / Bowser for each of the other classes, but for low medium there isn't really a character I like... I'd probably choose DK or Rosalina.
If she was I'm a class that had less lame characters on it you would probably see Rosalina a bit less, though there would always be the type of fan base that exists on this site.

I'm not a huge fan of any of the 3 princesses but out of the 3 she is the least generic to me. Peach is an ordinary princess and I don't find her to be special at all. Daisy is basically Peach with brown hair...
Rosalina is a princess from space and leader of the star people. At least she has a story...
Plus, she is the best looking for sure. Looks + personality? Peach & Daisy don't stand a chance.
