I like Reggie, but he pushes products way too hard, and is always overly optimistic. Perhaps that's his job.

PR talk no big deal.

I don't know why people are making such a big deal about this. Reggie's PR is just horrible, and he probably should have just skirted around the questions (mentioning upcoming titles, etc.), but he didn't actually say the Wii U would outsell the PS4 or the Xbox One:

"The dirty little secret is if you look at life-to-date numbers, between Sony and Nintendo they’d be pretty close in terms of PS4 vs. Wii U, with Xbox coming in third place. I think it’s going to be a three-horse race for the balance of this cycle".

Note that he mentions the current standings instead of weekly sales, and the balance of this cycle (which is very ambiguous). While the other two consoles are smashing the Wii U in sales overall, all three consoles are still in the process of building up exclusives and a broad range of experiences that would not be possible on the previous iterations of hardware. Apart from the hardcore fans who adopted early, people are still waiting for enough reasons to feel comfortable with upgrading. His mention of the "balance of the cycle" could easily be interpreted as a reminder that the Wii U will compete for some marketshare and not not to dismiss it so easily. He didn't say it would be a huge success or anything.

Smash Bros and Mario Kart are gpmma get things got. Hyrule Warriors and Bayonetta 1+2 are gonna give it a nice warmer. Toad and GOD WILLING Sonic won't be system sellers but should undermine any complaints. Granted unless the PS4 loses its absurd momentum that won't be enough, but its still a strong line-up for the console which, with any luck, will keep it players minds in a good way. I'm not quite as sure the Wii-U will breach 10 million by year's end with X, but between Mario Kart and ROCKING E3 like they did they may finally be able to mobilize their fanbase, because lets face it the Wii-U hasn't even pulled that off yet.

Reggie mean not in power.. and i think that he knows that all thoese fans of Fps who like killing in highest details, will only look at nintendo if they bye a second console..

But what i means is in term of sales..  How many of the 270+ mill last gen owners was the obove type.. how many copies of Cod (somphing) sell?

By fare the biggest "video game consumer" group is the ones who just wanna have fun.. They look more at games, price and new experinces.. rather than grafic and frame drops.. (and i bet that mayby half of them are parents byeing for theire kids/family) the ones who had not yet enteret the generation.. the ones refered to as "casuals"

After this E3.. i can understand why reggie have the big smile on.. Mariokart, Mario 3d, donkey kong, wii-fit, braintraining, splatoon, mario maker, projekt guard, kirby, toad (and more.. 2d mario...) combined with the cheapest price and i nice "Upad" that can do all sorts of new things..  Is an "insane" value, for the casuals..

And to top that.. they also will have X, Bayonetta, Zelda, Devils third, Splatton, Smash, lots of games for the "hardcore crowd" (and +10 qality titles for new comers.. Mariokart, zombie U, Mario 3d, Donkey, 101....) And soon we get watchdogs to.. 

WiiU is insane value.. and it will not only beat PS4 One.. one month this year.. That is 100%.. and I take all bets on that.

Will you take sig rights for a month for it? I'll bet it still gets outsold by the PS4. 

Don't know how we do that.. but i bet u that WiiU will win atleast 3 month rest of 2014 (i think it will do it more than 3, but this is the safe bet :) )
