I watched the gameplay and I got bored after a few minutes, basically they just show absolutely everything of you can do in just a few minutes, very repetitive.

Except historically speaking Mario sells and new innovative things don't.

Probably too early to pass judgement on a game that launches 2015.

Yet to me it seems addicting as hell and I couldn't stop watching it.
"I think it will be the HDS"-Me in regards to Nintendo's next handheld.
They showed one mode on one map.
So far this is confirmed:
- It will have a singleplayer mode
- It will have more advanced multiplayer modes
- It will have multiple maps (obviously)
- It will have character customization
- It will have multiple special weapons like snipers, bazooka, giant paintroller, etc.
- It will have fully incorporated voicechat according to some sites
- It will support some kind of local multiplayer, but they weren't sure yet if it was going to be splitscreen
Sure why not. But now I want Mario Paintball.

What's really confusing is that these same people will be the ones complaining a week from now that Nintendo doesn't make new IP's anymore...
Have a nice day...

Honestly, at this point, they might as well use the Wii U as a device to debut new properties. I know most corporations don't like passing up short-terms sales but, really, the potential of the Wii U doesn't have a high cap. Introduce new IP now and they'll have more of a name the next time around, hopefully on a console with a higher sales rate.
I was talking to a blueberry farmer the other day who was trying to decide if he should pull all his bushes up after harvest and plant new ones or not. Doing so would give him a much better harvest next year but it would mean essentially no profit this year. I think now is the time for Nintendo to plant new bushes.
NO.
There are ENOUGH games with Mario shoehorned into them.
ENOUGH.
It's LAME.
@OP, please add a poll so we can see stats in numbers. I say it was a smart move. Nintendo is so aware of people getting tired of Mario's face being slapped on everything that they actually made a joke about it in their own digital event!
