Have been buying all my games digitally since the ps4 launched. Might as well since you no longer save hard dribe space by not.. Also as a european i can get games for nearly half price through the US psn store.

Digital, physical, it really doesn't matter to me.
Sigs are dumb. And so are you!
This includes digital only games and probably even F2P games (since they called it "digital download attachment rate"). Not that surprising IMO.
@Scoobes
In sales surely, but in revenue I doubt it very much.
Probably because each PS4 PS+ game got downloaded like 5m times on average, and on xbox its probably because of all the download codes which were bundled with the console.
The article does mention 'downloads' not digital sales, so maybe that is the case.

You mean like every time I build a new PC? It isn't a problem at all. Each game takes an hour or less usually so I just cue up the one I want to play immediately and download the rest in a sensical order. It is far from a problem...

Called it? lol How observant of you. Anyone who posted on any video game forum since 2008 has called it.

That makes more sense. PS+ is now required for online, might as well download the free games. And it's mostly early adopters right now, who are more inclined to buy lots of games, subscribe to ps+ or live gold, and want it asap, pre ordered, pre loaded.

Why not? Consoles seem to charge full or near full price whilst eliminating the costs associated with the retailer. And the F2P model generates revenue through alternative means which means sucessful titles generate revenue over the long-term. MMOs have been doing it on PC for a long time now and the likes of Team Fortress 2 makes huge amounts of money on hats and accessories!
A few sucessful F2P titles on the consoles with solid finance models could significantly boost the revenue total for digital games.
