Why not compare gen over gen when the console price were comprarable (not really with the PS3 and its 600 dollar price tag)?  That kinda makes more sense, to me at least.

Ok, that makes more sense now.

We could assume that PS4 2014 <= 360 2013 and XOne 2014 <= PS3  2013 and then add up the rest.

Why is that people when seing their console flopping just ask for us to wait for the next month, release, price cut, etc instead of accepting it is doing bad... it will hurt less if you just accept it.
