They've almost completely stopped supporting it with games, yet they haven't killed it off or replaced it. Instead it seems their focus is really just to consider it a PS4/3 accessory. Which is dumb as who the hell really wants a $200 accessory?

Personally, I felt and still feel the PSvita is a big mistake. If i were sony I would just call it a day and stop making them.

And if your idea of selling extremely well is going from a 50k week to a 180k week on the launch week of one of its best selling franchises, then I am sorry but you are too easily impressed.

It's different because the Wii U is Nintendo's main console, it's there home console, of course there going to try super hard to promote it. Sony has tried and is still trying with the Vita, there are a lot of games coming out for it (Just not system sellers) and saying Sony doesn't support the PS3 any more is just wrong. Most of the games they release are both PS3/PS4 the only thing the PS3 has a lack of is exclusive PS3 games but that's because Sony has to put there first party's to work on the PS4. What did you expect, for them to still make exclusive games just for the PS3 a year and a half after the PS4 released. The PS3 still gets plenty of games and suport and Sony is trying with the Vita its just not working.

And if you read the OP, you would realize the TC is talking about how Sony is abandoning the Vita. But you just keep on shutting your eyes, covering your ears and going "blah blah blah blah." It's working well for you so far.

The difference is that Sony can comfortably cut off the Vita.  Handheld gaming has never really been that big to them, and the Vita's failure means very little to their bottom line.  On the other hand, the Wii U failing would leave Nintendo in terrible shape.  They can't survive on handhelds alone.  So, it's not really a choice for Ninty.

Yeah they are supporting it with indies and that's pretty much it, some localisations, some ports. Don't think anyone thinks it's enough. Sony should never take a page from Nintendo when it comes to supporting their consoles.
