and to answer OP: Holodust is right, Gamecube could have pulled an Open World Zelda if they really wanted to. |
No he was not behind OOT.
He added suttle things but did not fully direct it.

Hell no, those games were too damn big, not to mention empty. Though it is somewhat disconcerting how each entry has gotten progressively simpler and smaller as the series has gone on (disregarding the clusterfuck that is elder scrolls online).
I hate the new style of art and surely this new art style (which is an evolution of SS) it will negatively affect sales of the game.

I LOVE ICELAND!

This is the Game of Thrones

or you DIE
More power always means more opportunities in one form or another. Raw gameplay wise i'd say we peaked with the PS3/360, but there are plenty of other ways you can improve the experience of your players. Better visuals are not the only thing more power can provide ^^

He designed the dungeons.
He's been director from Majora's Mask onwards.
So with TP and MM, he's directed the darkest Zeldas in the series.

He is also the one responsible for pulling Zelda in the WW direction. And it's on record that they made TP because the market backlash from WW forced them.
I LOVE ICELAND!
