You mean, this game isn't going to flop hard?

It will flop hard. The kind of people that such games appeal to are the same ones who wouldn't openly admit to playing a Nintendo console. The appeal of such games is the perceived maturity and Nintendo as a whole is perceived to contradict this concept.

It's time Nintendo started offering more diversity in their software offerings though especially as they don't get third party support to begin with.

I felt like they had a much better mix in the late 90s/2000s with that (Perfect Dark, Conker, Eternal Darkness, etc.) and got too far removed from that, good to see them inching back to having a more "complete" lineup as it were.

Bayonetta 1 + 2, Devil's Third, Xenoblade X, Hyrule Warriors are good projects, in the short term yes they will probably flop, but so will a lot of Wii U software. Building audience credibility for the long term is important.

Hahaha!

This is what Western video game culture looks like to Japanese eyes.

Let's be fair: the game's headed by a dude who always wear sunglasses. He's...special

Devils Third just got revived, of course it won't look great as it is far from finished.

Yeah this looks interesting. kinda reminds me a little of Madworld and I enjoyed that.

Will look forward to more details on this.

Id play it, looks kool. Can't see it selling very well though.

THQ gave the IP back to them and let them keep all their assets and the engine, that was two years ago. last year in December he said that it was 80% done and that they had a new partner so obviously they didn't start over since then. No wonder it was the first project on the chopping block when THQ got into financial trouble, it must have only lasted as long as it did because Danny Bilson and Itigaki were close freinds.

I can't belive that they were trying to launch a big transmedia franchise from this... It looks like Killer is Dead level but without the style, would make a good $20 downloadable release.

Check out my hype threads: Cyberpunk, and The Witcher 3!

I hope they look at the crit they're getting about the opening sequence to redo it and make it less of a cringe-worthy mass of macho posturing and stupidity. I know dumb macho silliness is what their going for, but they could do it with far more style.

Remember the simple beauty of Duke Nukem 3d's opening. "Damn! Those alien bastards are gonna pay for shooting up my ride!" That's all it needed before the mindless mayhem commenced.
