Forums - Sony - I hate to say it, but Sony E3 was terrible!

How can anyone not be excited for Ps Now/Vita Tv? Yeah I know it was boring as hell to sit through the big guy with the purple tie. However the fact that you will be able to turn any TV into a console and play 20 years worth (playstation first released in 1994) of video games doesn't excite you then nothing will. Plus project morpheus with No man's sky is amazing. Sure that section in the middle was boring to most but in it they single handedly became the most innovative brand this generation hands down. They were also the only console so far to show any freaking game play in their conference. So to say it was terrible is just silly, and frankly very hard to believe.

Please no cursing on my posts. I am a devoted Christian.  Go back and read what I wrote. The Playstation TV was the best part of the show in my opinion. I agree.

I thought it was pretty damn good personally

Uncharted, LBP3, and Bloodbourne are all day 1 purchases for me

The Order looks horrible though in terms of gameplay

yes, except no LBP for me, platformers get tiring after a while....

the only game that would make me insta buy a PS4 would be the remake of FFVII, if they announce something like that would blow me away, anything else would be just wait and see if it's worth it.

lol, if they remade it, you'll probably complain that it sucks when it launches

only if they changed to much from the original:P may be they should start with FFIX remake or FFVIII and see the reaction xD

the funny part is they say they listen to fans..and some remakes that ld probably sell like hot cakes (even consoles) they really dont give it a try (lets instead keep trying to revive tomb raider).

Dude, if you know anything about the FF Fanbase, you would know that it's not possible to "listen to fans". Everyone wants something different. They can't just improve the graphics and call it a remake, many other things will have to change and even something as simple as voices will cause issues because someone doesn't like how Cloud sounds. IMO, they are better off leaving the classics alone or porting them to handhelds with maybe some extra content.

Why are you so sure FFVII remake will sell so much anyway? It just cannot be as good as the original because we have experienced all it has to offer before. A graphical tweak alone simply won't cut it.

Full blown remakes are just asking for more controversy. It's just better to use the effort on brand new games.

i like your point of view, no doubt of that, but what i said was only my opinion,  i would love to see the world of FF7 recreated in the new console, what fans bash about i think they care less about that. hollywood is always remaking the good stories, sometimes they work, sometimes they overcome the original, sometimes they suck, it all depends the hands that are behind it, i think if Kitase was behind it would work, but again just an opinion not a fact.

Yeah, they set the bar real low for Nintendo.

As I told another member, please do not curse on my posts. I am a devoted Christian. Otherwise, I respect your opinions and am glad that you were able to enjoy what I did not.

My apologies if I offended you

Where is the swear word?

you forget that D@&n is cursing used in the christian faith (especially right-winged christians) for describing the acting of sending someone down there.

Really? you could have fooled me. “But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth.” (Colossians 3:8) “Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving.” (Ephesians 5:4)

You probably eat shellfish too. So don't tell me you are a devoted christian and tell me not to curse when you commit equal or greater sin in the OP, In fact just about every topic you've started so far has been, at least your "don't trust microsoft" thread. Tons of anger, malice, slander, and foolish talk. Also Hell is a place, it's not a curse word. So tone it down, it's obvious, admirable troll atempt tho. I'm going to continue to express my freedom of speech thanks. If you don't like that then you shouldn't be here.

All Hail the Jester King. The King is back, and I am still a dirty girl prof ;)

Don't agree with the OP, I thought it was a solid show with lots of anouncements

Thing is, most Hollywood remakes are usually old enough that most people watching typically haven't seen the original. With FFVII, the people who want the remake have played the original and want to experience the same thing they did back then again without realizing that it is impossible because it wasn't just graphics that made the game great and it's only graphics that a remake can improve on.

One of the most memorable things about FFVII to me for example was Aeris death. I felt really sad and hated Sephiroth when it happened. Do you really think it is possible to experience the same felling again when I know it's coming?

So like I said, the effort is best put towards a new game. This is not like FFX HD where they just polish some jaggies. FFVII needs to be made from scratch due to how ancient it is. That effort is best put towards reducing FFXV dev cycle from 15 years to 10 years. In fact at the rate S-E is going, if they announced FFVII remake now, we'll both be watching our grandkids when it releases.

"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

Sony always has a disappointing E3, but atleast this years was more entertaining and had more games I was interested in than Microsoft's. If we don't include Nintendo who is undoubtedly going to destroy them both, I'm glad Sony's won one E3 in the last four years because it was getting rather pathetic with how bad their showings were year after year.
