lol, if they remade it, you'll probably complain that it sucks when it launches

only if they changed to much from the original:P may be they should start with FFIX remake or FFVIII and see the reaction xD
the funny part is they say they listen to fans..and some remakes that ld probably sell like hot cakes (even consoles) they really dont give it a try (lets instead keep trying to revive tomb raider).

Dude, if you know anything about the FF Fanbase, you would know that it's not possible to "listen to fans". Everyone wants something different. They can't just improve the graphics and call it a remake, many other things will have to change and even something as simple as voices will cause issues because someone doesn't like how Cloud sounds. IMO, they are better off leaving the classics alone or porting them to handhelds with maybe some extra content.
Why are you so sure FFVII remake will sell so much anyway? It just cannot be as good as the original because we have experienced all it has to offer before. A graphical tweak alone simply won't cut it.
Full blown remakes are just asking for more controversy. It's just better to use the effort on brand new games.

i like your point of view, no doubt of that, but what i said was only my opinion, i would love to see the world of FF7 recreated in the new console, what fans bash about i think they care less about that. hollywood is always remaking the good stories, sometimes they work, sometimes they overcome the original, sometimes they suck, it all depends the hands that are behind it, i think if Kitase was behind it would work, but again just an opinion not a fact.

Thing is, most Hollywood remakes are usually old enough that most people watching typically haven't seen the original. With FFVII, the people who want the remake have played the original and want to experience the same thing they did back then again without realizing that it is impossible because it wasn't just graphics that made the game great and it's only graphics that a remake can improve on.
One of the most memorable things about FFVII to me for example was Aeris death. I felt really sad and hated Sephiroth when it happened. Do you really think it is possible to experience the same felling again when I know it's coming?
So like I said, the effort is best put towards a new game. This is not like FFX HD where they just polish some jaggies. FFVII needs to be made from scratch due to how ancient it is. That effort is best put towards reducing FFXV dev cycle from 15 years to 10 years. In fact at the rate S-E is going, if they announced FFVII remake now, we'll both be watching our grandkids when it releases.
