Forums - Gaming - Sony's E3 show seemed to be what some people hate about MS.

The Microsoft press conference was definitely better paced than the Sony one, but I do not think they spent to long on the non gaming content.

Microsoft beat Sony in terms of big exclusive games announcements

Sony beat Microsoft in terms of indie games, backwards compatibility through PlayStation now and the Vita tv and bonus mulch-platform content/timing.

I think Sony should have shown more of the unannounced games their studios are working on but since the games may not be ready for showing.

Also Sony can afford to hold more of its content back for later reveals.

MS beat Sony is Exclusives?? No not even close:

Uncharted 4
Little big planet 3
The order
Blood borne (GAme of the show imo)
No mans sky
Grim Fandango
TLOU remaster
MAgicka 2

Sony also showed a lot more gameplay not cgi.

I'll consider Microsoft 'winning' something when they announce a game that isn't
Halo, Forza, Fable, Gears of War. Seriously - How many E3 conferences can we sit and watch them rehash the same stuff? It's almost as bad as EA with Madden or Activision with Call of Duty.

Phantom Dust and Scalebound showed absolutely nothing interesting at this point. Crackdown is a rehash on a very pedestrian game. Fru, Dance Central, Disney Fantasia all looked like your run of the mill Kinect games.

Ori and the Blind Forest and Sunset Overdrive actually looked like the only potentially legitimate, interesting titles. So we've got that and a typical yearly Halo, Forza, Fable announcement.

Atleast on the Sony side you've got the Order which looks interesting *fresh title*, entwined an interesting indie title, exclusive From Software game *fresh title*, Little Big Planet 3 and Uncharted 4 sequels to some of the highest rated games last generation. Let it Die looked mediocre, but ABZU should be interesting.

Halo will move more X1's than Destiny will for PS4 as will the price-cut.

Devoid of facts? You missed the 2014 part, which was the point of his post, before replying. Facs are useless if you don't even bother to read friend.

Halo remakes?? LMAo no, 300 x1 wont make much different, ps4 still easily outsells x1 please.

Umm he said sony has 1 game for 2014......Thast BS, and I posted why. Read again. Do you read hypocrite? I showed why his 2014 comment was BS.

300 X1's? You are indeed in way too deep if you think that's all that will move. Also in the 2014 reply you made mention of games from 2015.... It's on this page, just simply scroll up and read your own reply... Wow. You even corrected yourself afterwards with the "tie" comment. Going back on yourself again? Hilarious.

This guy is a prime example of why I'm no longer frequent on these forums. 300 Xbox One's that have the Halo collection that launches November 11th with a $399 Xone during holiday season? I'll take that bet. Loser leaves the site forever. You in? Put your money where your mouth is.

I meant $399 x1 not 300 x1's was a typoe... 399 x1 wont outsell ps4 no, thats obviousm and Old halo remakes are not goiung to move a lot of consoles, anyone who was a die hard halo fan was getting an x1 anyeway... Destiny will sell a lot more ps4's then any xbox game will sell x1's this year.

I agree, and also, did I miss something or did Sony not show any in game footage at all from AAA exclusive? Uncharted and Bloodborne were both CGI...what else am I missing?

Oh, and 99% of those indie games from the montage looked like total garbage.

Uncharted was in Game

In game or in engine? it didn't look like game play.

This is what I usually look for in games conferences. I look more for the games that have their own quirks and whatnot. If MS and Sony's conferences were graded based on just that, I'd say Sony won hands down. Entwined, No Man's Sky, and Abzu looked unique in their own ways. Even the existing franchises have their own twists, too, like with LBP's new characters and Uncharted 4's apparently darker tone.

So releasing a vita set top box is supporting the system. Great!!!

It's certainly not ignoring it.

Vita TV seems to be doing a better job at supporting the PS4 and PS Now than the Vita platform.

I see. That makes more sense. I never said that $399 Xone will outsell Ps4. I just thik Halo will move more than Destiny. You're flat out denying Halo won't move many consoles? Want to make a bet then? Loser still leaves the site. No alt's?

Hopefully there's a bundle... Might be hard to track. A significant boost that week should do, tough.

Pretty much liked i predicted and said.
CGI - Check
Multiplatforms - check

They spend more time talking about tv.
Microsoft would have been chewed if it had done the same.
Both had good conferences but what i hated from microsoft was the conker trolling and from sony i hated that CGI uncharted video.

Imagine if MS spent 20 minutes talking about Kinect.

I've been lead to believe Sony is all about 1st party, new IPs, and true exclusives. Little of that was to be found.

Quite honestly, Sony got me pretty excited about upcoming games I can play on X1 and/or PC.

Yep, its better just to drop it cuz these guys will never stop. I find it hilarious how the time sony spent on tv isn't a big deal. Now if it was microsoft....on boy!

Sony Multiplatform games at E3:

far cry 4 (can play the game with your friends without owning the disc)

destiny (exclusive beta, even more exclusive content, new PS4 SKU + bundle)

battlefield hardline (exclusive beta)

dead island 2

no man sky (timed)

mortal kombat x

Metal Gear Solid 5

GTA 5 port

Batman: Arkham Knight

Microsoft Multiplatform games at E3:
COD: Advanced Warfare

evolve (exclusive beta)

Assassins Creed

The Witcher 3

Dragon age

Rise of the tomb raider

The Division

I might have missed some...?

Except when MS talked about Kinect stuff, it was an hour out of an hour and a half long conference. Sony talked TV for 20 minutes of a 2 hour conference. And part of the was actually a pretty cool device, for PS4 remote play, PS Now compatibility, and a multimedia box. That's a lot different than "you can plug your cable box, that's already hooked up to the TV mind you, into your XBone". Not needing to have a PS4 in another room to still play your PS4 is kinda nice and turning any TV into a Playstation device (not just Sony TVs) are very much gaming related. So what else was time spent on? Powers and original content? You're gonna compare those 10 minutes to Snap, ESPN, watching your TV on your TV, etc ad nauseum for an hour?

And I added some parentheses under PS4 to show why it's not really an apples to apples comparison between the game showings between the two conferences. Xbox gets a +1 for exclusive Evolve beta. But PS4 has exclusive betas and content for Hardline and Destiny and Far Cry 4 has a pretty badass feature only on PS3/PS4

Way to contradict yourself completely! I haven't seen that kind of self-ownage in quite some time.

Thanks for the lulz, bro!

i enjoyed the microsoft conference myself,

fortunately for sony they only need multiplats to keep on top of the Box
