Nintendo with Zelda, Metroid, and new IP of Miyamoto!!!
Jizz_Beard_thePirate said: So... -20 points for Nintendo already... a) for not having a conference and b) Beyonatta was a multiplatform game before and now its Nintendo exclusive... Oh well, I don't agree with a) cause obviously thats targeted towards Nintendo (which is not biased at all lolll) but I guess it could be worse... Hopefully it will be good!
I don't think Nintendo should receive -10 for not having a conference either but you don't have to worry about the -10 for Bayonetta 2.
Both Sony and Microsoft will get a bunch of negative scores for timed exclusives, timed/fully exclusive DLC, refering to timed exclusives as real exclusives, non gaming features and of course bad jokes.
If rumors are true you could argue that Sony (exclusive Souls game) and Microsoft (exclusive Resident Evil game) will get -10 too for announcing a game from a once multiplatform series as an exclusive.
Edit: Doggy says Bayo 2 won't count and no conference is now only -5 so this should be an easy Ninty victory.

An exclusive is only good for fanboys. For everyone else it is not.

-5 points, Kids on stage. |
Oh boy..
kowenicki said: That is a very screwy scoring system.
vivster said: Looking at the points it seems heavily skewed against MS.
Anfebious said: EDIT: OT: Your scoring system sucks KylieDog!
Please be constructive and elaborate on what should be changed then..

While that maybe true and I see where you are coming from, they are doing something new and exciting instead which is the Smash Bros tournament... I mean, they have a digital conference for us that care about the games being announced and they have a Smash Bros tournament with over 3000 live audiences which imo is more exciting than just listening to a conference cause you get both a conference and a tournament so I think they should get props for that! There is also the treehouse thing which has tons of content related to games so giving them a negative for not having a traditional conference but not giving them a positive for doing something unique and arguably more exciting seems very one sided
Edit: If "Lastly +5 or 10 or 15 points for any unexpected good surprises not covered by any other scores. We be rated on how good they are." covers the Smash Tournament, than nvm

I realise you are trying to set up an objective scoring system but the problem with that is that it treats all games as equal. A reveal from Capcom, for example, is highly unlikely to be as good/well received/as exciting etc. as the latest and greatest flagship title from the big three.
Similarly, a reveal and gameplay for some random, uninspired title trumps a Zelda trailer, for example. Doesn't seem right. It's ultimately going to heavily favour the company with the most to show, rather than necessarily the best to show, although they could be one and the same.
We are constantly told that E3 is all about the spectacle and the excitement so I think there needs to be some way to capture that in your scoring system, if possible. An excitement coeffecient perhaps. :)
Aside from Nintendo losing ten points out of the gate it seems like a pretty fair scoring system.
Sigs are dumb. And so are you!
Sony has the best momentum coming into E3 while MS try to regain fan's trust and their own rep and Nintendo scrambles to revitalize Wii U sales and Wii Brand.
