Forums - Gaming - If you had a Gamecube, but didn't buy a Wii

I owned the two consoles, I had a lot of fun with my GC and now I have a lot of fun with my Wii.

I had a gamecube and didn't buy the wii. (someone just gave me one.)

I owned the N64 and GC but I won't buy the Wii

$150? That is going to be a while. $250 is worth it.

This is obviously a joke topic. All marioboys bought the Wii, that's why it has high sales. =) =) =)

I got a GC years after it came out because I loved windwaker and wanted to play Fire Emblem. I have no Wii and don't plan on getting one any time soon. I elected to get a PS3/PSP/DS this gen. I'd love to play Fire Emblem and Galaxy, but I'll just borrow a friends. I gave several attempts at Wii sports and just really, really didn't like it. I'd buy it when it goes down to 149, maybe. I do, however, plan on adding a 360 to my collection sometime in the near future to nab those RPG's that have been coming out on t.

1) A new Zelda that isn't a GC port

When are people gonna learn... it's the GC version that's the port.

I drink your milkshake.

This describes me right now. I really don't have plans to get a Wii right now. I'm a PS360 guy this generation. Despite this great success the Wii is having, the two other consoles and PC are providing all the games I want (LO, NG2, Orange Box, FF, MGS, etc.).

I borrowed my friend's Wii for a while, and I can see all the social games being an advantage. All of my friends have a Wii, so there is really no need for me to get one as well right now. I don't see much different for the kind of games I like between pushing a button and swinging the remote (I played Zelda on both GC and Wii).

I have nothing against Ninty or any companies for that matter. They are all here to make money. All three of them will be around for a while, and last quarter showed that they can all make profit. As far as me wanting their (Ninty) product, I'll probably get one if:

1) A new Zelda that isn't a GC port

2) a FF6 remake

3) It goes to $149 (a long time)

I took the brave stance for the VGChartz community. Anyone else that didn't get a Wii but owned GC or other Ninty stuff?

 first of all

i think it doesnt make sense if u get a 360 if u dont wanna get a halo. An other reason to get a 360 is not having enough money to get a pc.

"I took the brave stance for the VGChartz community" that made me laugh actually..
