the same resolution on both console. parity clause at work?

Maybe, but maybe not. Normally the PS4 version would have a higher res, but both would use the same AA. With this it seems to be the other way round, so 4xMSAA on the PS4 and 2xMSAA on the X1. The end result of "the PS4 version has better image quality" remains the same.

Regardless, 900p/30fps is unacceptable for both. The game isn't showing anything that justifies it at all, even with MSAA.

Edit: On a side note, MSAA works by rendering parts of the image at a higher resolution and then down samples them to give cleaner edges. So in a really round about kind of way you could still say the PS4 version has a higher res

oh, gotcha. didn't realize ps4 had 4xMSAA. i just read the OP not the article.  well that explains it then.

They must've spent too much dev time on Bruce Lee.

I am the Playstation Avenger.

Wow. Several people claim 900p is "blurry".

How did you ever survive without 1080p for the whole of your life?

Oh the horror.

I see a lot of people disliked your comment but I'm in agreement: it 'could be' the parity clause at work. It's the one thing that makes me worry about The Witcher 3 too.

The PS5 Exists.

Simple solution: Buy it on the superior platform. PC.

I don't own a decent PC and I prefer playing games on my TV, laid back on my couch.

Fair enough.
