Forums - Gaming - PREDICTION: Both Dead Rising 3 and Titanfall 1 will come to PS4

Both are big 3rd party companies EA and Capcom.  By comparing to the success of Watch Dogs, it is likely that Dead Rising 3 likely lost $50 million dollars in lost revenue, and Titanfall lost about $250-300 million dollars in lost revenue by not releasing for the PS4.

EA initially denied Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 would come out for PS3.  Plant vs Zombies Garden Warfare is coming for PS4 soon.  Capcom on the other hand needs all the revenues they can get.  Even as a PS fan, I thought it was stupid that Square Enix initiialy announced Final Fantasy versus 13 was a PS3 exclusive.  Some PS fan are still somewhat mad that Metal Gear Solid 5 is multiplat.   As a 3rd party, it is financially stupid to go exclusive for 1 console.

I don't see why TF1 would. By the time a release could be made, the sequel would be too close. EA will just release TF2 for PS4 instead.

I feel dead rising will

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

I'm thinking nope for both. I'm pretty sure Microsoft has Titanfall locked down, and Dead Rising 3 isn't big enough to warrant a port, assuming Microsoft don't have it locked down as well.

Unless there's an escape clause in titanfall then it is unlikely (was announced as permenant exclusive)
dead rising 3 was partially funded and published on consoles by microsoft, so unlikely it will come to ps4.

Lmao, where did you get that 250 million dollar figure for Titanfall?

I'm sure Dead Rising will eventually, less sure about Titanfall.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

No reason to bring over Titanfall. I'm sure Respawn is working on TF2, pre-production at the least. It should bring improvements in every way possible and will kill any interest in the original. Besides, I'm pretty sure Microsoft kicked EA something extra to keep it a console exclusive.

If you assume Titanfall would have sold 5 million lifetime on PS4 and multiply that by an average of $50 per game.  Maybe Titanfall would have sold 4 million copies or 6 million copies.  The early copies of Titanfall would have been full price at $60, but maybe more copies would have sold at a sale price of $40.  Who knows.   The 250 million was a rough estimate, so maybe it would have only been 200 million but it could have been 300 million.  Whatever.  It is still lots of lost revenue money.  Of course, if Titanfall comes out now, it won't sell 4 million because it already lost out on that chance.

For those who keep talking about MS publishing DR3, just remember that they don't own the IP itself and Tecmo already proved that it means jack shit if MS publishes your title or not..
