Reading half trough your comment, I thought you will make some sense by saying that MK8 sold more in EU because...you know, it's a huge f***ing continent compared to Japan - a single country - but I was wrong.

That actually doesn't matter that much considering if you look at the sales of many things, Japan has sold more than EU in many cases and vice versa... Look at Monster Hunter for example... Japan as sold more than EU and NA combined

So you get the idea... Just cause its a continent doesn't actually mean that much... Sure it has the potencial to sell more but that doesn't always mean it does... Its more about the taste than anything else...

of course it seems that digital is bigger than that when you look at online centric services or speak to people that frequently use them.
That's about as accurate as claiming there are more Nintendo fans on the internet solely based on Nintendo forums and Miiverse.
