So its overtracked because its higher than the WiiU sales?
If, and only if a lot of people actually just sit back a bit and look at the industry for what it really is and keep fan sentiments aside things would generally always make more sense. And some people wouldn't start pulling their hair out when things don't go their way.
I don't know about the XBO yet, but I can pretty much guarantee one thing. Call it a prophetic prediction based on reason (if that could possibly make any sense). By the end of this genration, the WiiU will not have more than 30ml sold consoles worldwide.

This got me thinking: did Watch Dogs really give PS4 sales a 80k boost? It seems a bit off for a couple of reasons. 1. It isnt an exclusive, its a multiplat. I have never really seen an all console multiplat raise HW sales so high and by 80k. 2. It did not really give XB1 a boost. XB1 only went up around 10k this week which is wierd compared to how much the PS4 went up. I am not damage controlling or anything. I am happy that the Wii U went up like 600 percent compared to last week and that the PS4 went up too. It just wierd how a multiplat boosted HW sales on PS4 more than Infamous did. It is also wierd how Wii U did not sell better than PS4 but therw is a pretty legit reason for it. The Wii U didnt sell as much because of the bundle only being out for 2 days where as WD was out for a full week. Is the PS4 overtracked for this week? |
It actually makes sense. WD was marketed as a PS4 game, so it will give a bigger boost here. About the other points:
1. GTA V was a multiplat and boosted hardware like crazy. A big multiplat will raise HW sales simply because people need the hardware to play it. It's on PS360, but that version is complete crap and probably a lot of people will prefer to get a PS4 or X1 and play it decently. Despite that, the boost still makes sense. It didn't even boosted it by 100%, while MK as an exclusive boosted the U by 600%.
2. X1 is being damaged because people are waiting for the price cut. Despite that, the X1 version was widely regarded as worse than the PS4 one so people waiting for WD to grab a console, probably decided for the one with the best version.
The data makes sense because WD is being huge, absolutely huge. The game will beat all AC numbers and even have a chance of being the highest selling new IP of all time (I think it's Gran Turismo or AC).

So FIFA, COD, AC etc don't sell consoles? |
No i said they dont sell one specific console over another.

Multiplats move hardware a lot! Often by more than 80k. (See call of duty or gtav). In fact, multiplats proabably move more hardware in total than exclusives, probabaly by a good margin too. It also isnt that surprising that watch dogs boosted more hardware than infamous considering sold almost double on the ps4 compared to infamous.
