I expected Wii U to be around 150k along with PS4, well that's history now... and I guess this watchdog performance on PS4 will make 3rd party publisher sit up and take notice.. what benefit they could have on PS4... yes looking at you EA and Respawn.. now let see how Destiny and AC unity first next gen Assassin does.

Terrible Wii U numbers on MK8 release week it sold negative 300,000 wii u's
A few days ago on VgChartz front page, It was 6.4 million sold now its only 6.1 million after the release of MK8.
What happened? Did a lot of people return their Wii U's after MK8's release

I don't think the numbers are actually up...

They have wiiu on 6.1mil in the op? What happen? That includes this weeks numbers

Which is odd considering Nintendo reported 6.17 at the begining of MAY

PS4 domination. Great. I love it.

If these numbers are close to what the actual sales figures are, then X1 is really getting beat up. MS needs to hit-it-home not just in E3, but also Gamescom, PAX East, and TGS if they want their X1 to do much better than this.

What are the odds that WiiU top X1 in this month NPD or the next?

Very real possibility.  What's also interesting is that if these numbers are true, than the Wii U just added 135K (1.75M total, now)to its gap on the One.  The One will need 14 (~3.5 months) weeks of sales numbers like last week to make that up.  Considering it will take another week or so before the Wii U drops below the One, again, I think it's safe to assume the One isn't going to pass it anytime soon.  If Nintendo plays its cards just right ($249 price cut + a few more system sellers), there's a real shot it could end up 2nd this gen.

I think it is quite possible that WiiU survive in second position for 2014.

I find that very unlikely, even based on the holiday season alone. Wii-U only did 1.5 million in November and December last year, sales might be higher this year but XOne in the U.S. will likely sell much better during the holiday's.

Maybe if Nintendo would release a killer app for the system or a $200 model, but as things stand now i think XOne will push ahead at the end of the year.

Not to rile up the Xbone fans here, but I think that SONY will once again stomp Microsoft at this year's E3.

Microsoft's strategy was to release everything at last year's E3 in order 'make up' for the disastrous xbone reveal. On top of that, I bet they were expecting titanfall to carry them until Halo 5 came. They never expected titanfall to shift so little units. They were expecting Xbone to sell at least 100k/week throughout the remainder of the year. Obviously, that's not happening.

As soon as they saw how 'poorly' the Xbone was still selling even after titanfall landed, they probably green-lit a ton of projects from their 1st party studios, but do we really expect any game to be ready for preview in just 2 months? I doubt it.

I expect a ton of multiplats, Halo 5, Forza Horizon 2, and a preview of the next Gears for Microsoft's E3 this year.

SONY played it smart. They knew they had the momentum last year and withheld their exclusive lineup. I think SONY knows that this year is the year they can "kill" the Xbox if they release a lot of megatons at this year's E3. The damage would be too catastrophic for the Xbox to recover then.

Microsoft is scared out their minds right now. They know the end is approaching in a few days.

Holy shit, those WiiU numbers. If these numbers are true, then that's what you call a system seller. Based on VGC numbers lately, I'll wait for NPD, but good job if that's the case.

VGC has been pretty accurate with PS4 numbers all year, so I think I can take those numbers at face value. However, I find it hard to believe that if WD could almost double PS4 sales, it didn't nothing for the XBone. I know the price cut is coming up soon, so that may be a reason. But it hasn't been advertised at all. And according to some people around here, only us forum goers know about news like that. The "average gamer" doesn't have a clue a price cut is coming (since it hasn't been advertised).....so why would the XBone not get a boost in sales from WD?

Really?  I've seen it plastered across TV around here (VT).  Others have said the same.

There's weekly ads in the mail at my address from Walmart, Best Buy, etc. and I haven't seen anything. Nor have I seen anything on TV. You can find it online, but not everyone shops online. Not enough, I don't think, to majorly affect total sales.

If these numbes are true, ea will be really mad to know Watch Dogs PS4 sold more in 1 week than Titanfall One in 3months

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

so there is really a lot of XB1 buyers waiting for the Kinectless SKU...
