So you're saying the new kinectless X180 won't stimulate sales?

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

Well, in fairness I would imagine a large percentage of PS3 owners feel right now a $399 PS4 is too much. Many gamers I know are still content with last gen for another year or so unless a system is $299 when it becomes an impulse buy.

I would if I had the money (€399,99 + yearly XBL Gold + games) and the time. I still have to finish games such as Tomb Raider from PS+
| Uddermode said: I was never a fan of Microsoft but when they announced the kinectless Xbox one I knew I made the right choice in not supporting their consoles. Why would I want to buy a console where the producer may just abandon it because of poor sales. At least Nintendo has the balls to stay with something until the end. |
Nintendo get criticised for *not* changing.
Microsoft get criticised *for* changing.
Anyway it isn't as if they have stopped producing kinect and completely given up on it. There is still an option to buy a console with kinect and I find that options are good. Those who have no interest in kinect can buy one without it and those who find use out of kinect are still able to buy it with kinect.

not even all those that voted are gamers just those who use the site

399 ktless X1 is a survival effort not a market leading one.
X1 will still get badly out sold, price parity is not an automatic sales equalizer.
small poll but likely representing of mass sentiment.
Title should read "79% of Gamers Polled". I know they haven't asked my opinion as a gamer. Although I won't be buying it either.

Well, 927 is a large enough number to provide a statistically valid result. The problem is that they didnt use a random sampling, relying on respondants to a mailed survey.
Still, I would be surprisied if it was more than 10-15% swing in either direction if a more accurate sampling was taken. Either way it isnt exactly good news for microsoft... Still, the gen is early and most people dont really notice new hardware until gets to the $300 price range.
I'll try to be fair and say these stats are probably similar for the PS4. the PS3 and 360 still got a bit of life in them. People can wait until 2015 and miss very little.
