Forums - Sony - PSP Discontinued in Japan

PSP v. Wii for highest end of year sales

PSP 19 33.93%

Wii 37 66.07%

Total:56

Anyway, the PSP has been discontinued in Japan almost 10 years after its initial release. My prediction is the Wii will overtake the PSP weekly and eventually outsell it for the whole year. Here are the most recent sales for both.

671 5,621 1,357 10,772
3,652 4,142 108 8,763

Anyway, Wii seems to be doing much better in N. America, not that far behind in Europe, but is being outsold in Japan. If the discontinuation brings the sales of PSP down in Japan, Wii could overtake it weekly again like last year. Well you guys tell me what you think.

XBOX ONE/Wii U/3DS/PC

RIP Iwata 12/6/1959-7/11/2015

Thanks for all the great memories!

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

You'll always be loved and immortalised as my porn my library. T^T

The PSP definitely had a good run, so it's time for it to take a rest!

PSP was discontinued in North America at the start of the year.

Hasn't Wii also been pretty much discontinued globally now?

Well, yeah, but the Wii mini is still out in a lot of places so that should be bringing in some sales opposed to nothing

I can't say I've ever seen a Wii Mini in the wild. and yeah, it was officially released here :p I'd avoid that system at all costs.

Always looking to improve my awful drawings ;_;

The end of an era. Kinda sad these moments, everything ends sometime

But man, why are people even buying those systems, even if practically no one is?

Wii U is backwards compatible.
Smartphones have emulators.
